I'm curious if any other eBay sellers have started running into this.Over the last 10 days I've received three separate orders from buyers in China for vintage action figures (1980s collectibles). The first order made it to eBay's International Shipping hub before being stopped and returned to me.After speaking with eBay support, I was told the shipment was denied by Chinese customs because it was classified as a vintage toy that didn't meet current child safety import requirements. The transaction couldn't be completed so the item was returned and the buyer received a full refund.At first I assumed it was just an isolated incident.Now, just within the last 10 days, I've received two more separate orders from China for similar vintage figures, and I'm honestly wondering if I should start expecting more of these shipments to be rejected. I really don't like the idea of sending vintage figures in the mail knowing they are going to be denied. I'm surprised Ebay is allowing the orders to even be processed.A few questions for other sellers:Have you had eBay International Shipping orders to China or Japan rejected recently?Is this affecting only vintage toys, or newer collectibles as well?Have you noticed certain countries becoming more difficult destinations for action figures and collectibles?I know eBay International Shipping assumes most of the risk once the item reaches their hub, so I'm not worried about seller protection.
