Harassing ebay’er
I had an auction for some coins and a person with less than 50 feedbacks emailed me and called me a scammer for selling a group of coins, one of which clearly said COPY in the pictures I posted. He also said he had reported me to eBay for false advertising. I also clearly stated in the listing that I know nothing about these coins since my late husband had collected them.
my question is, how do I report this person for defaming me?

First, very sorry for your loss. It can be draining to dispose of a departed loved one’s property, and sorry you are dealing with a difficult eBay user.
For the most part, there is little one can do when reporting a member who is not in a buyer or seller relationship with you. If the person contacting you has become threatening or using profanity, you can use the link in the following policy to report him:

We sellers will get this kind of unwanted attention from time to time. Some folks just can’t keep their business to themselves. Frankly, it is best to ignore them. Put their ID on your block list, and make sure your Buyer Requirements are set to prevent communication from those on your list.
If you will pardon my offering some unsolicited advice, before listing more items, I would urge caution.
Prior to listing, it would serve you well to read up on any eBay policy related to what you wish to sell.
It can be limiting to list items that you are unfamiliar with or do not know the rules or value of them. However, that is fairly easy to remedy. If you look at eBay’s completed listings for identical or similar items, you can usually get an idea of what the item can be sold for (or didn’t sell for). Completed listings give you a 3 month look-back on sales.
Wish you much smoother sailing ahead. Good luck.

·2 years agoIt's an email...not a buyer...block the future buyer.
I get maybe one email like that a month from people....
I had person email me "what are Christmas seals".....cannot people google that.
I would see if that buyer also sells...just to be curious.

eBay doesn't get involved with he said/ she said scenarios.

You can report the message as unwanted then block the eBay ID within the message you received as indicated in the image below.

#1) Ignore/block him.
#2) Go on with life.

·2 years agoI don't see the listing but ebay does say that replica coins aren't allowed.
