Handling Product Returns Due to Packaging Issues
Summary: racble30 asked if others have experienced product recalls or return requests from companies like Google's Nest due to packaging issues and how this affects brand perception and customer loyalty. They were interested in the return process and its smoothness. redmodelt responded by questioning if the purchase was made on eBay and described expectations regarding returns on that platform, suggesting that the perception of the company would not be a concern unless it was an eBay transaction.
Has anyone else experienced a recall or return request from a company like Google's Nest because of box or packaging issues? I'm curious about how this affects your perception of the product or company. Do you feel more or less confident in their brand, and how do you think this impacts customer loyalty?
Also, for those who have been through a similar experience, how was the return process handled? Was it smooth, or did it encounter any hiccups? I’d love to hear any thoughts or experiences you have regarding this topic!

·3 weeks agoIf you're a seller, deal with it like any other return if the buyer files an INAD.

·3 weeks agoDid you buy this item on eBay? If not, then the perception of that company is not something that I would worry about.
If I bought or sold something on eBay, then I would expect that if it was new and within the 30 day return window I would expect to receive/send in back in the original item packaging, if used receive it back in same or similar packaging.
