I think they announced a fix to that on a different thread. If memory serves Listings were dropping off or something and not visible ... or not renewing on the regular GTC cycle for those listings. My Active list dropped 7 but then a few days later they were restored and for my account I have not seen the issue reappear.

There was a big backup at the end of February, probably because on February 28 eBay was trying to also roll over all of the listings that are supposed to roll over on the 29th, 30th, and 31st of the month. Or as the pinned post said, "This is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period."
IMHO there's no reason for the thread to still be pinned since all of those listings eventually did roll over. Maybe they're waiting to make sure that there's no issue at the end of March?

Yes, this is the issue. February 28th of non-leap years sees a relist volume of about four times greater than average due to this. Leap years would see about three times regular relist volume on the 29th, since the 28th that year would be only normal volume.

The problem will likely recur on the last day in February every year unless eBay changes things, or sellers decide to not list at the end of the month.

But March has 31 days, so there are no extra days to increase the volume, and no reason to expect an issue. April with only 30 days can expect double volume on the 30th, though, as all the items listed on the 31st also relist.

Good point ... and maybe the programming they did last year for Leap year didn't work this year with Feb only having 28 days LOL! Sadly, I think eBay dinks around with their programming too much and makes changes that are not always necessary ... but since they don't manufacturer or sell anything what else are they going to do?

·1 year agoIt's pinned at the top. I have not noticed any problems with my fixed price account, but the pinned post is still up on the Selling discussion page.
