Grace period for Top Rated Seller status
So- I get an email this morning from ebay.
Act now to keep your Top Rated Seller status
And I read this- upload tracking on 90%
I have held- delayed shipping for a couple pieces as the customer was out of town and requested it. You know- keeping the customer happy!
Am I not way above 90%? So are they going to hit me with removing 10% discount will be applied to final value fees? Should I just not even be concerned???

OP2 years agoThis day and time- all these numbers really mean nothing- it's just playing the game.
I paid off my house and in way better shape financially but credit score took a dump because it killed my credit age...
All my customers are happy- that's what matters to me...

Ummm- that's what was in the email...
So how come " late shipment rate" is out of 209 transactions- 1.44%
and the "tracking uploading on time a validated" is out of 51 transactions???

·2 years agoLate shipment metrics is for a year. Tracking uploaded is for 3 months.

Can you check on the email this seller got @kyle@ebay and if it says 90% please escalate to the appropriate team?
Tracking uploaded rate is always based on 3 months @richard454 .
Late shipping and defect rate varies based on volume. Sellers with 400+ transactions in the last 3 months will see numbers based on 3 months. Sellers with fewer than 400 transactions in the last 3 months will see numbers based on 12 months.

Hey @wastingtime101, I'll be glad to clear this up. 95% is definitely the requirement for Top Rated status. Where 90% comes into play is specifically for the grace period. If a seller's tracking uploaded on time were to dip below 90%, they no longer qualify for the grace period. If you go here and go about halfway down, open the section titled "Other protections" and it will talk about that in a little more detail.
But as for the email @richard454 got, it does say 90% because it is referring to retaining eligibility for the grace period protection, rather than the 95% required for Top Rated in general.

That should help explain @richard454 - maintain 90% to be granted the grace period, but get back up to 95% before the grace period ends, otherwise fall to Above Standard until you can get the rate up, or the transactions age off.

If you are a Top Rated Seller and fall below the sales and tracking requirements for Top Rated Seller status, you may qualify for the Top Rated Seller grace period. During the Top Rated Seller grace period you retain your Top Rated Seller status and benefits, and you have two evaluation cycles to get your transaction count, sales amount, and/or tracking requirements back to minimum requirements.
You're eligible for the grace period if you fall below Top Rated Seller standards due to any of the following:

Next time tell customer to place hold on their mail with USPS https://www.usps.com/manage/hold-mail.htm or tell them you can cancel and they can repurchase when they return, but per eBay policy you are required to ship within your handling time.
