Game console listings reported as counterfeit
I've been selling game consoles and parts for years. Yesterday, two of my listings were ended because of violating the "counterfeit item policy". No specific reason was given. I spoke with a rep who also couldn't give me any specifics for the logic behind this move. Of course, they are authentic items. How does someone fake a game console? In the listing pictures, it shows the console powered on and pictures of different angles. I took all the pictures myself.
I submitted appeals for both. I included screenshots of my purchase receipts. I had purchased both here on eBay, broken. I repaired them and then listed. I also included pictures of myself holding the consoles powered on with a paper with my username written on it.
I believe a member had reported my items as counterfeit. The rep I spoke with said that they have someone review counterfeit claims and that there was a reason they were flagged. To me, this seems like anticompetitive behavior from another seller.
Here is the policy in question.
Has anyone else had this problem?

The person you spoke with is correct. They don't removed a listing just because someone else reported it, there has to be a reason for it,
Unfortunately we can't help you with this issue here, you have to deal with it directly with Ebay. It has to be Ebay that helps you with it.
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.
