"Free Shipping with code SHIPSAVE" Does this mean Seller is cheated out of shipping fee????
HELP.
What is going on please? Suddenly a banner appears on my selling pages "Free shipping with code SHIPSAVE".
1. WHO pays for that then?? Ebay???? Or am I tricked into foregoing shipping fees????
2. Also, I do NOT want "ship saver" shipping. I do not want to be tricked into using it. I loathe the company and stay away from it.
3. I use USPS. NEVER ShipSaver.
A buyer submitted an offer that is about to expire and I do not know how to respond since I have no clue what I will be forced into by ebay regarding shipping.
PLEASE HELP.

Ebay did something similar wherein they automatically deduct $5 from the selling price unless one opted out from an obscure offering of which I, for one, had no notice, and did not know the offering/option had been created. On those items, which already were priced very low ($10 - 20,) I lost $5 per item making the sale a negative due to the cost of increased shipping.
Here, the banner suddenly appeared and I fear if I agree to the buyer's offer, I'll also be cheated out of the shipping fee. The secondary issue is that even if I'm not outright cheated out of the shipping fee, the code "shipsave" FORCES the seller to sign up for ship saver/ship saver insurance, not USPS insurance. This item is already covered up to $100 but for other items that would require additional insurance above the $100 provided by the usual shippers, I don't want to be forced to use Ship Saver insurance (which is notoriusly unreliable and doesn't pay on claims) just because the buyer uses the code.

You don't lose anything. It's an eBay coupon, and the code being "SHIPSAVE" has nothing to do with ShipSaver insurance. It's just a code. Note that there's no R on the end of the "SHIPSAVE" code.

No, you will still receive a single payment.

My guess would be a coupon for you to use for free shipping.
Check another sellers listing and see if you see it.

Do you see it on other sellers listings?
Looks like an Ebay coupon and they pay for it.
