Forced to leave positive feedback for returned item
Someone returned an item with a missing piece. Ebay only lets me select positive feedback option. What is this?

·2 years agoSellers have been unable to leave negative or neutral ratings for buyers since May 20, 2008. How fortunate you are to have never had occasion to notice this before now.

·2 years agoFalse, they also let you select nothing.
Do most buyers not know they can't get negatives or neutrals? @songwind_retro puts your whole 328 100% positive feedback into perspective huh.

·2 years agoYou didn't have to leave any.
What you did leave is a policy violation and the buyer could report it.

·2 years agoSellers can ONLY leave positive feedbacks to buyers. It has been this way for a while.
you are not being forced to leave any feedback. It’s voluntary… you can leave none at all. If it didn’t work out, what more should you do to make it worse?

·2 years agoEbay only allows sellers to leave positive feedback. This has been the way for a few years. Just issue the refund maybe deduct a percentage of the total value, & move on. Don't worry about the feedback. Damaged/broken returns are a part of business....I know it isn't cool. However, not much else can be done unless you want to also block the bbuyer from shopping in your store.
Hang in there!

·2 years agoIt's an ebay rule. Only positive feedback is permitted for buyers. No negative wording either with a fake positive. You are free to leave no feedback.
