for parts or not working
Buyer started a return when I listed as for parts not working. Buyer claimed touch screen not working, well this radio was not a touchscreen....all screens are not touch. Then said bluetooth working. Contacted ebay and ebay said 'don't have to allow return because listed as for parts or not working. Contacted buyer numerous times...NO RESPONSE FROM BUYER. Also item bought and shipped to one party; but a third party started the return....Ebay will not take hold off of my $190 sale after 1 month, ebay is still holding MY MONEY HOSTAGE. What do I do???????

·6 months ago@christworks I had a feeling this would happen when they didn't reply within hours of being asked questions. Went to their profile, sure enough: started 5 posts since 2022, but as for ever going back to answer questions or thank people for their help ..... nope.
@delorisjb You can get a lot out of this Community, but we are not Chat GPT; we are fellow HUMAN eBay sellers and buyers. So don't come here and just post a problem without any follow-up.

·6 months agoeBay has a new policy protecting sellers from this exact kind of return for items listed as 'Non-working, parts only.'
What date was the item delivered? What date did the buyer file the return?
I see that it was sold Feb. 9th, but these other two dates^ are very important. If the buyer started the return within 3 days after delivery, then you have to accept the return. If not, then you don't.

·6 months agoFirst you received bad advice from whomever you contacted at eBay.
If your buyer opened a not as described return you have 3 choices to make.
1- accept the return, issue the label refund on receipt of return, receive fvf credit.
2-Refund the buyer without requiring the return of the item.
3- Don’t do anything as the eBay rep suggested so the buyer can ask eBay to step in when indicated for their refund. When eBay refunds the buyer when asked to step in, they refund from the sellers funds allow the buyer to keep the item, the seller receives no fvf credit, the seller does get a defect for cases closed without a seller resolution.
The hold on the funds related to the item in the return will be released when the buyer is refunded and the return is closed. Unless the hold is due to you being an infrequent seller, hold will be released after 30 days.
