First Time USPS Ground Advantage is used by me a seller -the tracking log - so far
its not even delivered yet....I shipped it on the 14th of July. the item is a 12 ounce weight, large Manila Envelope, size 13x10x1 inches....last tracking states it was Miss sent. -to the wrong facility? its going from California to Alabama.

I will not pretend I know how any of this works. I do not believe it was/is a ground advantage problem. More a USPS problem. Talk to your postmaster. They can look it up and see what is going on.
I sent a package from VA to SD, Ground Advantage, last week. Mailed it on Tuesday, he received it on Wednesday. I have no clue how that happened.

·3 years agoI also had a few delays during the switch over and in turn neutral feedback for late delivery although it was shipped next day. It took seven days to deliver. I ship approx 10 items a day but only had a few show this delay. Obviously there are no delivery time frame guarantees on ground items and it can't be said definitively why it took longer than normal but I had the issue also. All you can control now is to keep the buyer updated . Good luck!

I don't think you can blame Ground Advantage for this one.

OP3 years agoI have Shipped 100s of oil paintings on stretched canvas this way for the last 10 years - in a 13x10x2 inch rigid manila envelope-...it usually takes about 3 to 5 days to deliver, sometimes 2....from coast to coast.

·3 years agoEnvelopes continue to be the most lost/misplaced of all items by USPS. Usually owed to being left inside the sacks they use. At least your item was scanned - USPS has a history & reputation of ignoring the scans. But, you at least have a positive for you - its IN the right state. It's a large state, but it's there.

·3 years agoI kinda disagree...My envelopes do not get lost or misplaced by the USPS.
If envelope was just sent USPS as a large envelope which can have tracking it would be there already.
Seller was using USPS Ground Advantage to save a few cents maybe.

·3 years agoI have tracking knowing when or where item is...plus I can talk to a clerk at the post office if item is lost or missing in action. I purchased about $300. retail USA postage for around $200.(auction) on eBay last month...lots of sellers sell postage under retail.
If you actually talk to the clerks at the post office they can actually help with getting the cheapest way to mail something. I have one clerk who is so in a rush to deal with customers he doesn't even weight some of my envelopes....I love that guy. Never got anything lost. Once item is post marked by the clerk at the counter it has to go through. People interconnection does work for me at least.

·3 years agoThats great, but really has nothing to do with the OP shipping a package with USPS Ground Advantage vs USPS Priority. Those would be the options for what is being mailed.
Your non-tracked First Class mailings are a different animal.

·3 years agoThe OP cannot get "online" discount shipping label rates by using discounted stamps and going to the PO to mail something.
OP's items do not ship ESE

What I see is a few day delay, was shipped out on Friday.

OP3 years agoYep...it can eventually happen....after 10 years, with no problems. this shipped in a 13x10x2 inch rigid manila envelope- with my artwork inside a box...it usually takes about 3 to 5 days to deliver, sometimes 2....from coast to coast....oh well, it will happen.

·3 years agoHonestly I send tons of disc's via ground Advantage in 13x10x1 poly mailers and I've had like 1 miss sent out of 100.

I'm just trying to say that this MAY have happened regardless of how you sent it.
Ground Advantage MAY have nothing to do with it.
I have had no trouble since the switch to Ground Advantage.
You do whatever makes you comfortable.
