Finally "Throwing in the towel"!
After many years of not having a towel in my safety & convenience travel kit I am "throwing in the towel" ... we recently got a nice pack of them, more then we need in the house so I am using one for the travel kit ...
WHAT? You thought I was giving up on eBay??? Surely you jest!

·3 years agoI love levity and a sense of humor when I see it on this board. It's a perfect antidote to the myriad of posts from those who are really serious about throwing in the towel, when taking a deep breath and adapting their business model and attitude is usually all that is needed.
Cheers, Duffy

·3 years ago@mr_lincoln WHEW!!! You got me! Yes, I thought u meant giving up on eBay! LOL
That is when I know eBay has hit rock bottom ðŸ˜
I buy bundles of white 'cleaning' towels from Menard's every so often. Use them for many things, including when my cats throw up 🤢

·3 years agoI read your title and was thinking you meant one free with each sale. I was gonna remind you to raise your s&h costs. 🤣

Glad your sense of humor is still "on track".....................(yes, a "train" pun.................lol)
I no longer purchase "white" linens or towels. They are the engima of life. I like the ecru/light beige ones. They look more pristine longer. Sometimes I will purchase mint green or light blue. No yellows......they too dingy up too quick. lol
Please send me some fluffy towels. I will gladly put them to use. I have some chipmunks & moles that could use some burial cloths (hopefully soon!)

·3 years agoI think you should share your towels with that wood chuck that's under your shed. 😉 😄

OP3 years ago@policequilts The only way I would do that is if I was wrapping it up in a towel to bury it ... but then that would be a waste of a good towel ...

·3 years agoYes, "Don't Panic and always carry a towel".
And remember May 25th is Carry a Towel Day.

·3 years agoI wonder how many will understand your reference to Don't Panic and carry a towel but do not forget also the answer to everything is 42.
toomuchstuffagain35
·3 years agoOf course it is, everyone knows that = )

·3 years agoI read those books 40+ years ago. In this day and age with everyone buried in their cell phone I never assume anything. In fact of the 100 people I work with no one had a clue as to what 42 , Don't panic or towel meant. Sad but true.

·3 years agoI have to admit that I don't read quite as much as I used to. I used to devour at least 3 books a week at one time.
Now I play soda crush every night before bed, rather than read. At least I only play that for 1/2 an hour. Once I got into a book I could end up reading for hours without realising it.
Maybe when I retire I'll get back to it.

·3 years agoHad to look up that "42 thing" , but I did know that it was not the correct answer to the "are you a turtle" question.
