Feeling cheated and foolish
Do not purchase from ***. I bought a EGO 56v battery for my lawnmower. It worked one time for approximately 35 minutes. After that it would not take a charge, no charging lights, nothing, completely dead. I am familiar with the battery as I have owned the mower for 5 years. I contacted *** via messaging. I ALWAYS left my number and requested a phone call. Well *** never called. *** did respond numerous times, after 3/4 days stating numerous excuses. They sent another battery please return the old one, they sent a mailing label so I can return the battery, return the battery and they will send another or reimburse me. All of this never occurred, no new battery, no return label, no reimbursement, nothing. This has been going on for months. I feel like an idiot always answering their messages that always contain an excuse. Everytime I write PLEASE just call me. Their responses are if they do not even read what the problem is with the battery. I am assuming they figure the buyer will eventually get frustrated and give up. Anyway DO NOT purchase from ***, this seller is not a very stand up individual. I got ripped for over $120.
Thanks for reading,

·3 years agoStop communicating with the seller.
Do NOT return the battery on your own dime.
You have 30 days from the delivery (not purchase, delivery) of the item to get a refund through the Money Back Guarantee.
This has been going on for months.
So you missed the eBay MBG deadline.
If you used Paypal you can open a Not As Described dispute for 180 days from payment, which may already be past.
Unfortunately, PP requires the Buyer to return the disputed item if the seller demands it before refunding.
If you did not use PP, or if the PP deadline has passed, you can phone the credit card you really paid with about a chargeback. The 1-800 number is on the back of your card or on your monthly invoice.
I hope you learned this in time.

·3 years agoThe seller is located in China and will likely drag out the responses past your time to file for MBG.
Just go to the order and in the dropdown box, choose the return request for the item being defective. In the description box, you can state that it doesn't hold a charge.
The seller may tell you that in order to issue a refund, you need to close the case. DO NOT DO IT.
If the seller doesn't issue a refund or pay return shipping for you to send the item back, ask ebay to step in.
ETA: Ugh! I just reread your post and saw that this is ongoing for months.
You've exhausted your ebay money back guarantee so your only option is to go to your payment provider and file a claim with them.

·3 years agoI think I would still file with eBay. They will probably say there is too much time.
But it is worth a try.
