Feedback that isn’t valid
I got a neutral feedback with this message: “Description never stated metal and plastic for this item; other than this one issue.â€
This criticism seems invalid. It was a brand new item in a package with a clear plastic front and cardboard backing. I took photos from every conceivable angle. The contents were clearly visible. There was nothing misleading in the description.

·3 years agoI understand how you feel. Most buyers looking for this type of item would have known the material the figure is made of. But there is always those out there shopping for something for someone and they have no clue about the product. So it is always best to error on the side of caution and state it in the listing. Write your descriptions for those that are NOT familiar with the product.
Keep your chin up. The neutral won't hurt you, your account or your stats. You will be just fine.

·3 years agosome buyers don't ask and than blame you for their lack of effort...if the info is NOT there that you need ASK...duh...its so simple isn't it yet when some buyers mess up its the seller they blame...of course

·3 years agoThe feedback did not say the listing was misleading. It complains specifically about missing details describing what the figure was made out of. And that is a valid point.
This underlines the importance of using one’s Item Specifics and Description field to record pertinent facts about the item. Material, Year/Era, Brand, UPC, Size, Measurements, Color, Manufacturer’s Part #, etc. Any flaws in the packaging should also be mentioned, especially important to collectors of such items. It is not enough to say “See photos.â€
There were 3 photos (2 of the front, one of the back) with no close-ups. No side views.
Should the buyer have asked for more info? Yes, perhaps. But providing pertinent information about the item is the seller’s job. It is just good business because it can help protect a seller from an unhappy buyer, returns, SNAD, and bad feedback.

·3 years agoI agree.
Just my opinion, but I checked that listing.
Unwarranted feedback rating.
No more seller info needed.
Buyer should have known what they were buying.

·3 years agoWell, if you want to talk about invalid feedback, check this one out (Yes I did actually this - word for word)
its about quality over quantity ..thats great you have pin ribon badges but what this means is knife attack to the death and feather in mouth until dead standard military disposal of over done and out soldier who wont do as ordered by the sepiorior offices.
here's another one this same buyer left for someone else:
ohh my favorite its the british australian flag and the velcrow ooouuuhhh its so easy to place on armored sholder as the hottie nurse mia keeps jabbing syringes into my arm andn then asks for my tv but i should just ofer her $500 dollars as she needs a life suport tv egsamle or has a pace maker that recharges from light from tv..oouuggghhh
And there are more. (and in both cases the misspelling was theirs)

·3 years agoIt's a writing style, and one that is not only almost impossible to replicate well (i.e., if you're James Joyce), but got way too popular for a while. I post on a board with a perfectly sober individual who keeps trying to explain simple concepts in this silly style - it's annoying.

·3 years agoI took a look at the back of the package, and it clearly states, "This miniature is hand cast in pewter."

·3 years agoGuess the buyer didnt bother reading all that small print on the back of the pkg..shame on him.

·3 years agoBuyers don't usually read the large print either.
bonjourami
·3 years agoAgreed..but probably wouldnt have hurt the op to mention it.If they dont read the large print, they sure arent going to read all that fine print wall of text on the back.

·3 years agoI guess the buyer was hoping for the cheap plastic version as opposed to the pewter version.

·3 years agoI'm guessing that the buyer's complaint was that the figure was made of metal AND plastic when they were expecting metal.
AFAIK, usually miniatures like that are solid pewter, not pewter and plastic.

·3 years agoSorry, I have to agree with your buyer, should have been noted in the description, not just depending on the pictures.

·3 years agoThe buyer could have asked if it really wasn't clear - or if it even really mattered. On the other hand, I could see this as being an important question if it was something like a set of dentures.

·3 years agoIdk..I think most buyers want some kind of description of the item..I know I do.Looking at the pictures I cant tell what the item is made of.
