Feedback Question.
Every time I notice my feedback score go up, I always take a look at my feedback, just for curiosity.
At 4286 my most recent feedback was "ok".
It recently went from 4286 to 4287 and the most recent feedback is still "ok".
Today it went from 4287 to 4288 and the most recent feedback is still "ok"
I'm trying to figure out how this could be?

·10 months agoAutomatic feedback isn't designed to be "interesting". It's designed simply to give you a point for doing your job.

·10 months agoEven more than giving you a point, I feel like it's intended to help offset the disproportionate effect of a negative feedback compared to the number of orders you process. If you fill 100 orders in a year, and get feedback for only 30 of those, 1 negative feedback among those 30 will drop your percentage to 96.7%. But if you got feedback for 90 of those orders (this is taking into account that some orders may still have problems that do not result in negative feedback but also prevent automated positive feedback from being left), that same negative will only take you to 98.9%. That seems more fair to me.

·10 months agoMercari's auto feedback is just a straight declaration, too - there is no reason at all why it should be any different as eBay can't make any judgment about the transaction, save that it was completed.

'No Comment' (although a positive, still don't know how to take it?)

·10 months agoMy assumption is that they did not want it to appear interesting or overly positive, since it’s automated. A simple acknowledgment of a successful order is all it should be. Your customers can still go back and leave their own gushingly positive comments if they want, and they won’t even know they’re replacing a boring automated comment because it’s not displayed to them that automated feedback was left for their order.

·10 months agoIndeed. We still have 1 negative from the past year, but because of the number of positives we’ve received, our percentage is back up to 100%. The automated feedback will make that easier to achieve for more sellers.

eBay automated feedback
eBay automated feedback is automatically added to the seller’s account when a transaction is successfully completed. This positive feedback gives other eBay users confidence in this seller and in our marketplace. We only do this if the following criteria are met:
Automated feedback from eBay will remain visible unless there is an indication that there was an issue with the transaction, for example the item was damaged or you opened a return. If this happens, we will remove the automated message.
You can still leave your own feedback within 60 days of delivery, in which case the automated feedback will be replaced with yours.
