Feedback for buyers set to auto, it works fine except for once.
Summary: annadryl is experiencing an issue with leaving feedback for a buyer on eBay, as they encounter an error page despite having auto-feedback set up. The transaction itself went smoothly, with the buyer leaving positive feedback and both parties communicating well. caseypl questions the use of auto-feedback, suggesting feedback should reflect the transaction quality. mam98031 shares their experience with various feedback strategies, emphasizing that the approach can vary. Despite these discussions, annadryl cannot resolve why the feedback fails specifically for this transaction.
I am trying to leave feedback to my buyer and I get an error page. I have feedback set to auto and it works fine otherwise. I've had other sales. This buyer bought multiple items, received them, and left feedback for me. We've chatted in messages and that was nice, good buyer, just wondering why I can't leave feedback? And why didn't the automated feedback work on just one? Nothing fishy here, it was a good transaction. Everything else normal and fine...

OPJul 16, 2026 at 12:01 AMI should add that ebay gives you the notice to leave feedback, that's how I noticed because it's usually auto. Was it because it was several items and for some reason it says 3 out of 5?

·Jul 16, 2026 at 12:03 AMWhy bother doing auto feedback? The quick response and fast payment makes zero sense on a buy it now. It's outdated. Also... what it a buyer is not good? Why leave them something that looks decent? Why not write out what happened?

OPJul 16, 2026 at 12:10 AMThe point is that (regardless of auto) I can't do it manually. but just for this transaction. Others are fine.

OPJul 16, 2026 at 12:21 AMHow is a good buyer with fast payment outdated? They deserve a thankful nod.
Normally it's automated, not personal, but still...
This sale was like a week ago, been delivered, and no reason to hold off good feedback in reserve.

·Jul 16, 2026 at 12:26 AMIf the buyer has not left you positive and the return window is still open, I think it's foolish to leave them feedback. But what would I know? I only had $18k in sales last month

·Jul 16, 2026 at 12:44 AMThere are a variety of reasons to do feedback as you state and how others have stated. It is NOT a once size fits all thing. You see it one way and others see it differently.
I've been at this for 25+ years and over those years I've tried posting right after I got paid, posted after the buyer received the item, posted after they left feedback for me and I've tried posting after about 35+ days. It all was about the same. Now I just stick with posting after they leave feedback for me and if they don't, then I don't leave feedback. If a buyer asks me to leave feedback sometime in the window of time when they have not left FB for me, I apologize to them for my delay and I post feedback. This works great for me but I don't expect that everyone has to agree or do it the way I do.

OPJul 16, 2026 at 12:54 AM · EditedMam, all I want to do is leave manual feedback, but get this screenshot. It was the same a week ago, it's the same today.
All other ebay functions working fine. Tried two other browsers too.
edit It's just this one transaction, is the point.

OPJul 16, 2026 at 12:48 AMMy buyer has left great feedback and we have chatted in messages. My question is why can't I leave feedback for this One Transaction but all else is normal.
