If you truly mean feedback was left for a buyer, as in someone who purchased an item from you, rather than a seller, someone you purchased something from…eBay didn’t leave feedback for your buyer. That’s not something that happens. Only you can leave feedback for your buyers, though you can automate it, but only by your choice.
If Ebay is going to keep the FB system, they have decided they need to have the appearance of greater participation than just those who care about FB, which are a ever-decreasing minority of buyers and sellers.
I dont think thats it. If it was they wouldn't use the same exact generic feedback message which everyone can see is generated by the system.
I think they understand the basic rule that has always been in play. In most successful transactions here no feedback generally means things were fine for both sides. "No news is good news." Thats basically true. If theres a problem there is no need to encourage feedback, it will be left. If things are good, most of the time silence/no feedback means good. They just want this to positively be marked on a sellers record. And good sellers also get feedback left by buyers too, you will see that interspersed with system generated positive feedbacks.
eBay automated feedback is automatically added to the seller’s account when a transaction is successfully completed. This positive feedback gives other eBay users confidence in this seller and in our marketplace. We only do this if the following criteria are met:
You didn't leave feedback within 7 days of delivery (as confirmed by tracking)
We can’t see any indication of an issue with the transaction
Tracking shows the item was delivered on time
Automated feedback from eBay will remain visible unless there is an indication that there was an issue with the transaction, for example the item was damaged or you opened a return. If this happens, we will remove the automated message.
You can still leave your own feedback within 60 days of delivery, in which case the automated feedback will be replaced with yours.
CoulD NOT HAVE A DELIVERY CONFIRMATION THE ITEM WAS REFUNDED DUE TO OPTION OF PICK UP ONLY MUST HAVE A GLITCH IN YOUR SYSTEM AT MY EXPENSE THERE IS A REASON NO FEEDBACK WAS OFFERED EBAY DOESNT ALLOW SELLERS TO TELL THE TRUTH

·8 months agoEbay doesn't give "glowing" automatic feedback.
Ebay gives a positive with the following comment...
"Order delivered on time with no issues"
Ebay does this only if the seller doesn't leave the buyer a feedback.
If you wanted to give your buyer your own feedback, why didn't you leave one?
P.S.
Why are you typing all in caps?

·8 months agoJust a reminder, eBay’s automated feedback is from buyers to sellers only. They aren’t leaving automated feedback for buyers from sellers.

·8 months agoTo the best of my knowledge here, the "auto feedbacks" are being left for SELLERS, not for BUYERS.
