Think twice before cheaping-out on your buyers, and if you're going to do it, do it before they buy, or face the consequences.

·3 weeks agoBut then you have to use Fedex Ground Advantage. I sell on another site where that's an option (no control over it - it's buyer choice) and probably about 50% of the time there are problems (slow service, lack of tracking, etc.)

·3 weeks agoIn many parts of the US, FEDEX Ground is an unacceptable service for many buyers and sellers. Far worse than any of the big 3 carriers.
FEDEX relies heavy on companies which it contracts to do last mile deliveries. In some areas they are quite awful and buyers hate them with good reason.
I will not order from any seller, including major retailers, who use them.
The boxes take a beating and are often dirty when they arrive. Shipments are scanned delivered days before they are. They never ring a bell. If the package is heavy, they just bring the slip which says a delivery was attempted and leave it on the front door. If they are light, they usually leave the package out in the open.
If you use their hybrid service with last mile by USPS, you should know that many postal employees hate FEDEX and it brings out bad behavior.
All that matters to some sellers is the price. If you are one of those sellers, you are probably going to choose them,

·3 weeks agoOne of my local post offices has their door (inside and out) nearly wallpapered with DON'T BRING YOUR FEDEX PACKAGES HERE!!! In various iterations. We must have some dimwits in my neighbourhood because the signs have been multiplying. I suspect the frustrated postal workers are thinking "Maybe if we say in five different ways it'll sink in: NO FEDEX HERE! NO! NO! NO!"
