Falsely Accused of Selling Fake MAC and Estee Lauder
I purchase alot of MAC cosmetics on their website and have been for years as I used to work at MACY'S and had a makeup collection. I started selling on ebay and now three of my MAC listings and one Estee Lauder listing were taken down for being "counterfeit". Funny thing is I have receipts for EVERYTHING I sell. 🙂 I always buy directly from the manufacturers. Problem is the email that ebay sent me for the VERO rights owner doesn't work. MAC is a subsidiary of Estee Lauder and the email esteelauder@enforcements.markmonitor.com keeps bouncing back to me. I am trying to send them my receipts so that they can see that I don't sell fakes and have the listings reinstated but I can't since the emails don't work. Ebay is no help since they tell me that all they can do is contact the rights owner to tell them to email me and that they have no obligation to email me back. WHAT THE HELL? I am the sole breadwinner in my family right now. I need to keep my account to make money but I don't know what to do. I am not relisting those items of course, but who knows what else Estee Lauder will find in my listings to remove? and I have absolutely no recourse since I can't even send them proof! Any suggestions besides hiring a lawyer? But seriously it's ridiculous that I have to go through this when I have proof of guaranteed authenticity!

·2 years agoMy understanding is that eBay has a blue check mark for vendors that would like to get their product certified as the real thing. Your receipts should be used to obtain this authenticity blue check. Check it out...

·3 years agoUsually I say contact eBay for Business on Facebook, but this time it's iffy but worth a shot. Tell them the email is invalid. You could also contact Markmonitor themselves directly (looks legit) and explain the problem. You have 100% legitimate items to sell, obtained from the manufacturer directly and you have the receipts. The company email you were given bounces back as invalid. Please supply a CORRECT email address for contact.

·3 years agoAll I can tell you is when this happened to my Ebay friend and the perfumes she was selling, that Vero refused to accept the receipts, saying they could be doctored.You are smart not to relist, once you get on their radar,you are a sitting duck.
