False alarm.
I was up early this morning packing ebay orders. One of the orders I packed was something i just sold out off. Sold the last one. Finished packing and took a nap. Woke up a few hours later and check the app to see if I sold anything. It shows i sold another one of those items that I was sold out of!!! How can that be? A few hours ago the quantity said "0". I paniced and got on my desktop. There was no new sale. The one showing on my app was a old sale. I hate the app .

·11 months agoI am up at dawn most days but if I know I have to be up I can't sleep the night before. A recent example would be a few weeks back my neighbor came over asking if I would go over to the coast with him the next day because his Ex's car had been sitting in a restaurant parking lot for a couple of days broke-down, and he wanted to pick it up with a tow-dolly before it got impounded. Of course, I was up all night thinking. Anyway, not trying to sound like too pius here but I find praying helps me to fall asleep.
Or you could try the latest scheme:

·11 months agoThat conch shell thing is BONKERS!!! If I didn't read the controlled experiment results I would just laugh at the whole idea!!
Thing is .... large conch shells aren't the easiest thing to come by; I know they're banned here on eBay for instance. I just so happen to own one though, and I do have sleep apnea. May just give it a try!

·11 months agoAnkle biting aside, I thought I heard naps in this mix. So let’s get to the heart of the matter—naps.
Anytime, anywhere, and sunny windows are magic.

·11 months agoAgree 100% with "anytime, anywhere" but sunny windows? You still talking about napping? I have the opposite idea of nap magic, in fact one of my fantasy "eccentric rich person haunted mansion" things is a secret nap room in the middle of the house, where only I would know which book in the library to tilt back to open the secret door, and the room would just have a twin size bed, a fan, and a little table with an alarm clock.
That clock would be an absolute must. Just "tonight" (technically last night) I fell asleep in my recliner sometime around sunset, and I just woke up at 1:25 AM. So I guess I'm just "up" now, starting my Wednesday. 😔

·11 months agoI'm about ready to turn in. The heat is just killing us here. And it's not suppose to do that.
So until next time, same cat station, same cat channel, same cat.

·11 months agoI have a new cpap machine. Every morning I wake up to find it off. Last night I decided to set alarms. WEll I kept waking up before the alarm and not able to go back to sleep. Guess I'm up at 5, I give up. I have a mental health condition in which lack of sleep has dire results (as in desperate visits to the ER or messaging my psychiatrist at all hours). The irony is that the point of the whole thing is to help me with sleep apnea and all the waking up I never noticed. I used to love sleeping. (I'm a napper, too)

·11 months agoYour post is making me sleepy. 😛 🤣 I NEVER use my phone for eBay unless I am out & check for messages. It's all on my PC. Phones are useless for the internet. Call & text. Phones are why I keep getting, "Is this still available?" messages on Marketplace. 90% are done in error because their thumb clicks instead of swiping. Try not to lose any sleep over this uneventful moment. 🙂

OP11 months agoStop spending so much time on ebay.
You Canadians need to go out and rake the forest. 😉

·11 months agoThat question is necessary on Marketplace due to the lack of updating listings to Pending or even Sold. It's a waste of time to contact someone who will not make a deal but otherwise the status of the item is a mystery.
sakic92710
·11 months agoNo idea why you are responding to my comment about, "Is this still available" when all I said it people hit it too much by accident. They had no intention of contacting the sellers.

·11 months agogood point, sorry. It just touched a nerve of frustration about using the site. I wonder if that has happened to me the few times I tried to sell there, getting queries but people vanish. Maybe they never meant to contact.

OP11 months agoNow my desktop is acting all screwy.
The notification bell says 2 orders to ship.
My seller hub shows only 1 order to ship.

·11 months agoI had that for months, just ignored it and then at some point the 'extra' one stopped showing.

·11 months agoYeah, I don’t “nap†I lived in Europe for several years, on the east coast for several decades and on the west coast for fewer decades. My circadian rhythm is so confused that I am as likely to be wide awake and working at 4 in the morning as I am to be sound asleep at 2 in the afternoon.
I don't even wear a watch. It just confuses me too much.

OP11 months agoMy "cha ching" hasn't worked for years. I wish i could get it working again.

·11 months agoOur Cha-Ching hasn't worked for a long time either. Even after we got a new phone
as well. We've more or less given up on ever hearing the Cha-Ching sound as well as
getting messages on our phone.

Did you get a new phone and need to check your notification settings?

·11 months agoI'm glad to know am not the only one with an app delay. It has give me a few, "What the heck, moments?" Of course, that is after I hear the "cha-ching" and think to myself, "Oh, thank you Lord, a new sale!" 🤣
buyselljack2016
·11 months agoI often get the cha-ching on my phone only to find there is nothing to be packed and shipped.
For me the reason is basically the same, but not due to a "nap" per se. It is due to the phone being off for days at a time.
keziak
·11 months agoThe scenario for me is that sometimes I get a sale while the phone is charging. T hen when I take the phone out it gives me the ka-ching. Other times I hear it when charging. So not consistent. I also get a different notification sound w hen I have a sale. Not sure what to do about that.
I would like a sound when an offer comes in. That would be good. But I learned that if I answer an offer on my phone it screws up the whole display so now I avoid that.

·11 months agoOn more than one occasion, I have had the app come up and make the cha-ching sound, AFTER I had already packaged and actually shipped the item out for that same sale. Kinda sad really.

·11 months agoWoke up this morning with tape in my hand
Whose tape? What tape? I couldn't understand
Sold something in the night, or so it would seem
Must've been a wild dream, or a memory's extreme
I don't recall the sale, or the buyer's face
Guess I'll just have to wait and see what takes its place.

·11 months agoHard candy and chewy candy....You sold one of each today...
'took a nap'....waking up...'a few hours later'...should have had some coffee waking up again😎

·11 months agoI'm not a fan of the app, either.
I had a problem yesterday -- it was giving me two different numbers for how many sold listings were awaiting shipping.
It was easy enough to figure out, but there's no reason it should have been confused about what was sold but not yet shipped.

·11 months agoI have seen the same recently. It does give you a jolt, so to speak. That is why I don't depend on my phone app for much of anything important.
sin-n-dex
·11 months agoI don't check sales during the night anymore. It always gives me a jolt because I think I've sold something I no longer have and have to get up in the middle of the night to check.
I can't see my phone anyway without my glasses and I intentionally do not keep glasses on the nightstand. At best I figure out I did sell something, but have no idea what it is until morning when I'm sitting at my desk at work looking at my phone to see what I missed during the night.

A "few hours" nap?
I always think of a nap as about 30-45 minutes. A "few hours" for me is a full night's sleep.
sin-n-dex
·11 months agoMy naps are usually about 2-3 hours in the middle of the day. I'm always disturbed when I take a lunch nap (while working at home) when my alarm goes off an hour later, I feel like I've been asleep for 5 minutes.
I have serious health issues though, so my naps are all approved by my health care team.
