Honestly that is the best thing that could have happened to them. Most Sri Lanka sellers lose money that they can't afford to lose.

The Ceylon Tea market is only a few hundred dollars a day on ebay and there are several thousand sellers at any given time competing for that. 23,000 listings for Ceylon tea and only 1900 units sold in the past 3 months.

The competition to sell in Sri Lanka combined with the fact that these is almost nothing for you to sell to America makes it impossible to succeed on ebay from your country. There are basically no longterm successful ebay sellers in the entire country of Sri Lanka, the only ones who make any money drop ship more expensive items from China and their accounts eventually get banned.
