Email wanting me to finish listing.
Summary: roccotacodad54 received emails prompting them to finish listings on eBay, which was confusing as they never started any. emuestate and powell-collectibles suggested it might be due to accidental actions leading to draft creation. mam98031 shared a similar experience, noting that even backing out of a 'sell similar' option can create drafts. roccotacodad54 confirmed that clicking a "Ready to resell?" button inadvertently started drafts, which they later deleted to avoid unwanted listings.
I've received 2 Emails as of late prompting me to finish my listing of an item I bought in the past. It prompts me to upload pictures and finish my listing.
Thing is, I've never started one, ever.
I get the prompts on my eBay homeage before but not to finish a listing, only to start one.
Curious as to if anyone else has had these appear in their Email. Not on any kind of messages on eBay but in the Email I have registered with eBay.
Not complaining just curious................................

OP2 weeks ago · EditedUpdate. Apparently when I clicked on a past purchases "Ready to resell?" it started 3 drafts to sell them. I just wanted to look not start a draft.
I've never sold anything on eBay so I had to hunt down my draft folder and delete them before they somehow became listed without me even knowing.
One would think one would have to intentionally start a draft to resell something previously bought. Apparently not.
I have thought of selling a time or two but if the system is going to decide to do things for me without me knowing, I'll pass..............

·1 week agoYou can look at things you bought in the past all you want. It's just easy to tap the "resell" button, and unknowingly produce a draft. Maybe the way it's lined up. It's not as easy to actually list the item for sale. It won't even let you list it, if you don't fill out necessary information, such as price. It requires tapping more buttons, while the draft is open. You also get an email that the item is listed, almost right away.

·2 weeks agoI find this sometimes in my Drafts. Listings started that I did not think I have ever started. But what I figured out is simply clicking on sell similar on a listing, even if I back out of it, it logs into my Draft listings. At least that has been my experience.

·2 weeks agoSimple user error. If eBay is asking you to finish a listing, that means that you started one. Easy enough to do, especially as they have past purchases with an easy button for selling whatever you no longer want or need.

·2 weeks ago · EditedI think it's pretty easy to hit "resell" an item by accident. Did you start a draft you didn't know you started? Check your draft folder, and if it is there, delete it.
