·2 years agoYou should never accept any returns If sent via EIS.
You should never attempt to handle these on your own at all.
Once it's delivered to eBays international hub, you are completely done.
If customer contacts you then you tell them that because it's an EIS order you have no control over the return process. They must contact eBay. They can open a return or INR but it will be handled by eBay.
The listing return policy means nothing. EBay overwrites whatever seller had for EIS orders with their terms.
Ebay may accept the return out of their pocket. Let eBay make the decision.

·2 years agoYour advice is good and exactly right. EIS should handle all thing’s international.
We however received communication through eBay about these returns, not from the original buyer, asking us if we would like to accept or decline, so not sure why that was if EIS is supposed to handle it.
As stated, we never heard another word and both of these returns ran their course and were closed by eBay when item wasn’t returned.

·2 years agoDoes the return case give you the option to 'accept' or 'decline'?
The 'return' should go to EIS, be handled by EIS and money refunded by EIS

·2 years agoThey can open a return for does not fit whereas you can accept or decline.
We have had this happen twice.
We accepted these returns, but neither item was returned as international buyer would be responsible for the shipping cost.

·2 years agoYes. I would think so.
All I can comment on is what we experienced and that when we received a return request from an international buyer due to fit, we had the option to accept or decline. After we accepted, we did not hear another word.
So maybe EIS handled something somewhere along the line, but my thought is that buyer did not want to pay to have shipped back. Then again, maybe eBay paid that for them? Really can’t say.

This does not take into account untrained Ebay customer service help and clueless buyers,
