EBAY'S SEARCH IS BROKEN!
I listed 6 of a new item last night.
This morning I woke up and all 6 sold out.
How were my customers able to find them?
They must have used google. That's it.

·2 years ago@inhawaii I have 6 music stands. Put one in my booth at the antique mall and sold one. Got another one, kept the price the same, and sold it the very next day. Got another one, raised the price. Hasn't sold. I guess the price was right!

·2 years agoHe's being facetious guys! @inhawaii is known for being a smart a$$! Congrats! Now it begins...did I price them too low? That's always my first thought when something sells quickly. Can't just be happy about it!

OP2 years agoRaised the price and listed 12 more. 😉

O you have no idea. Do a search on Vintage SPAM sold items and see what you get. I remember when the cans had the little keys on them that you needed to get the can open.
Nothing quite like a fried SPAM sandwich when sitting around the campfire.

So is the Hawaiian Spam pineapple flavoured or something?

When I was in Honolulu for the marathon I fulfilled my desires for MORE MUSUBI!

No they have gone to the pull top can like a lot of other canned goods. The little keys and that metal strip you pealed off the can were a bit of a hazard I cut myself on more than one of those. If you started with the key and got a few turns in you could pull the rest of the ring off but you ended up with what amounted to something similar to a roll of concertina wire.

OP2 years agoSo the ebay search IS working?
I'm sooooo confused.

·2 years agoIt works for you coz you are the Best Seller on eBay, obviously.
Also, just FYI - I like Rhinestone Cowboy 😎

·2 years agoYou can save a particular ebay search. Search for exactly what you want -- the size, color, etc.
When the search results pop up, click "Save This Search" at the top.
If you have your notifications set correctly, you will receive an email when there's a new listing matching your search.
I've bought items that way. It's pretty cool.

·2 years ago@richard1rst has the answer, I think. I've done the same thing on my personal account, saved a search (not for a particular seller's item, but for a search term/string) and had it pop up when someone listed it later. People wanted what you had to sell, @inhawaii !

·2 years agoIf your customers had previously done a search for the item and clicked on "save search" then, as soon as you listed it, they would have gotten an email informing them of the listing.
I was once looking for an odd part for one of my antique cars and I used save search. FIVE MONTHS LATER I get an e mail that someone had listed the part.

OP2 years agoBrand new item I just listed last night.

·2 years agoBut that doesn't mean that someone somewhere wasn't previously looking for it. There are many times I do a search and comer up empty and then they appear later.
