EBAY -TURN OFF YOUR NON-SENSE AI ASSISTANCE
Summary: phantom-kustoms_surplus expressed frustration with eBay's AI assistance, which makes it difficult to reach a live agent. They explained a situation where a package was eventually delivered after being marked as lost, leading to complications with customer service. gurlcat offered advice and pointed out that eBay would not require a buyer to return an extra item but suggested offering to pay for return shipping. kensgiftshop asked for more details on the issue, while caldreamer shared information about eBay's 30-Day Money Back Guarantee policy and potential seller protections.
Not able to reach out the live agent since this stup**d AI assistance, whatever representative seen this message, address this issues to your supervisor, I bet I'm not the only person complain about this problem. as seller, we paid almost 16% cut to feed your greedy firm. And not able to hold one live agent to solve the issues, all we got it's the AI generated & repeated again and again "I can help with buying, selling, returns, and other eBay topics. Please tell me how can I help you". Make some common sense, ebay, get it fixed.

·2 weeks agoYes, that Ai slop is a real pain. I read EBAY 30-Day Money Back Guarantee policy and it does offer Seller protection if item delivered after you gave customer a refund.
EBAY will protect you if you use an EBAY label and the item is delivered to the buyer after you’ve issued a refund. We'll automatically reimburse you for the item, remove defects, and exclude the case from service metrics.

·2 weeks agoThat policy would not apply in this case, because the OP seller didn't refund the buyer; they sent a replacement item. So now the buyer got 2 for the price of 1, and I'm not sure what the OP expects eBay to do about it. Basically they handled the INR incorrectly and there's no way to correct it.

·2 weeks agoJust FYI, eBay admins are not reading what you post here. But you can get better help here than from a phone rep anyway, as we are experienced sellers who understand the policies better than they do.
So what's going on, what problem were you trying to reach them for?

OP2 weeks agoCustomers stated not received the items, I contacted shipping company, shows still in transiting, seems like lost due to there was not any updates in 2 weeks, filled the claim (Lost), then shipped 2nd out. 4 weeks later, that first package delivered :( Reached out the Fedex, they said it has been delivered, can't do anything about it. Then contacted ebay, the automated AI thing just repeated again and again, tried to get the live agent get this issue fixed. Used to be easy to reach out a live agent, now it's damn impossible.

·2 weeks agoSo what outcome do you want? -For the buyer to return the second item to you? If so, I'm sorry but eBay will not force a buyer to do that (there's no way they could even if they wanted to). You could ask the buyer do it, but they probably won't. Maybe if you offer to pay the return label, but even then, they're under no obligation to do it.
