eBay took the money from me for an international sale through their shipping center
On March 28th I received the following message:
“Hello,I’m contacting you about my order currently marked as “incorrect address”.I had already reported the address issue in advance and was told I would be contacted by the delivery driver, but this did not happen.I want to prevent the item from being returned, so I’m actively trying to resolve this.Please assist in ensuring the package is delivered or held for pickup.Thank you.”
This was about a package shipped to Chile through eBay’s shipping center in Illinois.
This arrived at their shipping center on March 13th.
According to their guidelines, which say:
eBay International Shipping (EIS) protects sellers by handling customs, international shipping, and returns. Sellers are only responsible for safe delivery to the US shipping hub. Once delivered to the hub, you are protected against lost/damaged items, negative feedback, and "Item Not Received" claims.
My responsibility for this package ended on March 13 when it arrived at their shipping center.
Today I received a message from them saying,

WHY IS THIS AMOUNT BEING RECOVERED FROM ME??????????
Where is my seller protection?
I tried to appeal this, but it’s not even listed as having happened! It’s totally disappeared!
It's not even being returned to me - it will go to the shipping center!

·4 months agoJust making sure, was this shipped eIS, or is it possible it shipped with eBay International Standard Delivery instead? I glanced at one of your listings and it did have eIS shown for shipping, but it’s possible the listing in question didn’t for some reason.
If it was indeed eIS, though, I have no idea why they would be trying to recover the funds from you. It’s be good to get the confirmation before trying to dig into it more.
