Ebay things i'm from the US instead of the Netherlands
Summary: roow-2020 is experiencing an issue on eBay where their account mistakenly identifies them as being based in the US instead of the Netherlands. They are unable to use certain features on their national eBay site, such as AI descriptions and offer options, and their shipping details incorrectly reflect US domestic costs. They seek advice on how to resolve this problem with their eBay settings.
Hi all,
i'm new on ebay and i listed some items.
I'm from the Netherlands but when i use our own '.nl' website i can not use AI description and buyers can not send me offers. We only have a fixed price option.
I've read that i can use .com or like .ie (ireland) with my account. They both have the options i want and need.
Here comes my problem, eBay things i'm from the US.
I've set al my primary adresses on the Netherlands but it still things i'm from the US.
It says on my listing i'm not shipping to the Netherlands but that schould be my domestic shipping country.
And when i click on domestic shipping --> add primairy service --> calculate shipping it also says i'm shipping from the US and i can not change it.
So now buyers from the US see my domestic shipping costs of like 8 dollars instead of buyers from the Netherlands.
I can not send something for 8 dollars to the US ;-).
Any idea what i'm doing wrong?
Thank u, have a nice Sunday

·1 week agoWhen you list on a domain other than your local one, domestic shipping refers to domestic to the domain you’re listing on. For example, if you list on .com, domestic is for the US and the NL would be grouped in with international shipping.
That also means you cannot use calculated shipping and must set a flat shipping cost for domestic (US) and for international destinations.
