eBay support is absolutely pathetic
I've been selling on eBay for over 10 years and always try to take care of my customers. I hardly ever get negative feedback because I try everything to please the buyers. Recently, I buyer left several negative feedback because I wouldn't give him free shipping (items need to ship overnight so it is above $50). I offer free shipping after a certain total has met but this buyer was short over $70. Offered him to buy more to bring the total to free shipping but he refused saying that he already has some of the items I was selling. And he was being really abusive.
I called eBay and they agreed that these qualify for removal. They said these will be removed within 48 hours. 3 days went by and nothing. I email them again and someone said that they will remove all negative. Well, they removed most of the negative but left two behind. Same buyer, same date, same order but now they will not remove remaining two. I've tried it several times and they just refuse to do it. Their message says the reason for not removing it Blank. I am so upset that they can clearly read the messages and see that this buyer was trying to get something for free where my policy clearly says that you have to have certain amount to qualify for free shipping.
Our decision
For this reason, the feedback was not removed. Just so you know, this feedback will not impact your seller performance level.

You know you can always reply to these negs, keeping it professional of course.
I read them, buyer sounds like a small child, blaming ebay and little Joey for scratching his toy.
Those corals 🪸 are so magnificent! So they are shipped as live animals no?

OP1 year agoThanks. Yeah, these are live corals so they need to be shipped priority overnight. I was hoping that eBay follow their policy and help a seller out but that's not going to happen. Now I'll have to give into everyone demanding something for free, or get negative feedback. Absolutely frustrating.

·1 year agoThe feedback system is a joke to the point where if you don't have 1 or 2 - feedbacks over the course of selling something is wrong. It is just not worth the rise in blood pressure to react even when the cause is absurd.

I would have blocked the buyer immediately....if I could before a purchase...if you had gotten a buyer email requesting it.
Customer service isn't what it used to be.
'this feedback will not impact your seller performance'...I would have asked the customer service rep...'so do you sell anything on eBay or have you?'...wonder what they would say.
