eBay support continues to be worthless and ignorant
Just got off eBay chat. My question was: Why do I see many sellers receiving automatic eBay feedback left, and why have I yet to receive one? Six minutes later, the support tech still didn't understand or know about this program that went into effect early Sep. She provided a link for feedback for a seller leaving a buyer auto FB. Minutes later, or more dumbness(is that a word? :-)), I told her to Google it and provided a link to this board where it was being discussed, and the announcement showed. After another 1-2 minutes of blah blah blah, she then asked what my question was again. Does their scroll back button not work?
I used to be a big supporter of eBay tech support, but not anymore. I hate to say it, but even a caveman could do better. No disrespect to cave people meant.
Follow-up: Interesting that I could get the answer here within seconds, and yet after 6 minutes, the eBay support person wasn't even close to answering it. This actually proves how poorly trained eBay support personnel are. Thanks to all who replied!

OP8 months agoThanks for the clear info. Sometimes, a person just can't know everything. That's why this board exists, yet support couldn't point it out after 6 minutes. That would be my point. No excuse for an eBay tech support person not being able to answer this question. My bad. I guess I should have come here first, silly me.

·8 months agoWell, yes. I mean, I think their reputation is pretty well established by now, unfortunately, and I would not waste any future time with them. People here can pretty much answer most anything that doesn't require actual behind-the-scenes access to your account.
