eBay sides with new buyer with no reviews
I've been a buyer and seller for 21+ years, over 300 positive reviews, top rated seller. Buyer buys a phone, we ship phone with pictures proving what we shipped. Buyer says they got perfume, we never got to see the proff. We submit our proof thinking no way ebay can side with new buyer and our proff. Nope, f*ing ebay sided with buyer. We're done with ebay, no more buying or selling with this thief of a company.

·2 years agoI am assuming buyer filed a NAD claim with eBay or a chargeback with their CC company. It doesn't really matter since both are almost impossible for the seller to win unless the item was shipped to a foreign buyer and went through a freight forwarder.
Like @bamorris stated a cell phone is something I would never list on eBay they are possibly the most scammed item there is. Generally see at least one of these type posts a week and often times multiples. For those that insist on listing cell phones about the only advice I have to offer it make sure they retain the IMEI number on the phone and if they are scammed out of the phone they can report the IMEI number to the IMEI blacklist which renders the phone pretty much useless to the scammer. It won't get you your phone or money back but the buyer winds up with a useless phone.

·2 years agoAs a seller.. you need to file an appeal. The process is outlined in the communication they sent to you. You'll likely have to sign an affidavit swearing you sent the phone and then eBay will make you whole again.
I don't think the dispute process is winnable from a sellers perspective. They'll side with the buyer every time. But I have had good luck with the appeal process. It seems to be managed by higher level line workers than those who rubber stamp the initial dispute.
Now you'll get a brigade of responses telling you that you shouldn't sell phones on eBay.
File an appeal.
