Ebay shipping cost discrepancy
Hi, I've listed a few things and I've noticed that the shipping price listed on my listings does not match the prices I get from the ebay shipping calculator.
For example, I've listed an item that the calculator says would cost $7.15 to ship to NY, $6.72 to Chicago and $7.57 to LA. But on the listing it shows $6 for the shipping. The item is 10"x8"x4" and 5lbs On another listing it says the shipping is $9.95 but the calculator says $10.34 to NY, $9.12 to Chicago and $11.56 to LA. Item is 10"x10"x8"and 10lb5oz. Zip code is 77632.
So if the shipping is more than the price on the listing, how do I fix it? I'm not willing to eat the difference in cost.

·2 years agoThe price you are seeing on your listing is the amount it would cost if you were to send the package to your own zip code. If your item is being seen by and sells to someone in NY for example, they will see the correct amount of the cost of shipping from your zip code to theirs.

Make sure you are not looking at shipping to your zipcode while viewing the listing.
If you do calculating shipping and have the exact weight and dims in the listing, you will be good to go.
