ebay 'seller protection' = Screw the seller
example: buyer did not receive it because ebay/he told me to mail it to a fake address; USPS said Moved, Left no Address, but ebay took my $ and more to refund buyer. [I had told him I would remail it to a legit address if he paid postage.]
Lesson: anyone starting out, DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH EBAY; use another platform.

·2 years agoSeller protection against false item not received disputes is about the only seller protection on eBay, as long as you ship to the address that appears after the buyer pays and you use tracking.

"USPS said moved, Left no Address"...so item was returned to you.
Sounds like buyer have done a dispute with their credit card which the buyer would be refunded the total cost...just a thought.
And a credit card dispute can happen with any platform.

·2 years agoAm sure you know this: when your buyer paid via the invoice, he saw the mailing address that you were required to use for his purchase. If that was incorrect, he had the chance to change it. eBay did not give you the address, the BUYER did.
Your item should have been returned to you via the USPS. You need to pursue this with eBay, something wrong happened somewhere.

·2 years agoDid you ship to the address on the order? If you did, and responded to the case as @kensgiftshop said, you would not have been forced to refund. If you changed the address after the order, you forfeit your seller protections.
