EBAY Sales down, but impressions and conversation rate have stayed the same
Hi everyone!
First post here, but have been a seller on ebay for over 14 years.
For the past couple of years I have been doing between $2,500 and $5,000 a day in sales on a typical weekday, but over the past two weeks I haven't had a single day over $1,500. Nothing has changed in my listings or advertising dollars spent, impressions have stayed the same. I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this the past couple of weeks, or if someone wanted to look at my listings and let me know if there is something ebay would be hiding my listings, as of recent, for.

·2 years agoManufacturing is really slow right now, im a tool and die maker in the midwest. Our shop is dead, as are many others I know. You sell endmills, makes sense to me to be slower

·2 years agoThere was another seller of machine tooling similar to yours that was complaining of slow sales a couple of weeks ago.
Could be the market for those items is slowing. Might be time to diversify.

·2 years agoNot every drop in sales happens because eBay "hides your listings".
Your listings and your advertising spending may not have changed ... but perhaps competition's listings and their advertising spending has.

The buyers who did searched did not choose to view your items.
It could be lack of demand for your items.
It could be the effects of competition.
It could be your choice of image or product name
Those who choose to look, are as motivated to buy as ever which is why your conversion rate has not changed.
If your percentage of impressions in the top 20 has not changed, there is little reason to think promotion will solve your problem.

It will show your data on Top 20 search slot impressions and an info link on what it means.
Many Ebay sellers do not understand all of the data Ebay supplies. Some of it is really useful.
They focus on only part of the data.

OP2 years agoIt is up 10% vs last 30 days for the performance data on traffic (top 20). The chart below it shows that impressions have not dropped at all either, thinking that my items are still showing up for impressions obviously but they are being buried with competitors on top.

Ebay wants MORE money from you since you pony up on advertising money. Maybe they just want to see how much more you will give them to show your products
