ebay restrict my account "Restore your selling privileges: Action required"
Hello,
I got this email says ebay restrict my account, Please Does anybody knows what i should do ?
I invested a lot of time and money on my store, Any tips to get my account back ?
ebay mail :
We restricted your account because we noticed activity that we believe is a risk to our community.
This restriction means the following:
- Your selling privileges are temporarily restricted. You won’t be able to create new listings or revise any listings that are live on our site. You also can’t register a new account at this time.
- If you're a seller participating in managed payments, we are withholding your future payouts. You’ll start getting paid again after you resolve your restriction and your account is reinstated.
- Some of your listings may have been removed. You’ll find details of any listings we removed below.
- Any fees paid or payable for listings that are ended and/or hidden from search will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.
To help us remove the restriction on your account, you’ll need to upload documentation showing that you purchased the item(s) recently listed on eBay. This can include a manufacturer's invoice or a receipt. You can upload your documents at the following link:
https://ocswf.ebay.com/mudcwf?deptName=USRiskManagement
Make sure your documents are current, valid, and legible. Your name and username should appear on each document. Once you complete these requirements, reply to this email, and we’ll review your account. We may ask you to provide additional information during our review.
The safety of our community is a top priority for us. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

·2 years agoBased on your feedback, you are selling items which are inauthentic - not surprising if sourced from Alibaba.
You are dropshipping and the product shipped is not what you have listed.
And it is likely that your shipments are in packaging which indicates another retail source. That undermines Ebay since the buyer could easily have paid less by ordering from that other source.
Ebay's actions are probably justified and your odds of reinstatement are likely to be poor.
You appear to be exactly the seller that Ebay has implemented this policy to remove.

OP2 years agoWell i ship what i list, and give cheap prices even sometimes i don't have any profit so it doesn't matter for the customers where to buy. But i had complains yes, and sometimes the order took so long and i had to change a supplier that make faster shipping and its hard to keep costumers satisfied 100%, Well i thought i had time to improve hope my account won't be restricted for ever.
momtoabeautifuldaughter
·2 years agoI'm going to venture a pretty good guess that you are restricted forever on eBay.
Your feedback is horrible and you are dishonest. eBay doesn't want that on their site.
evry1nositswindy
·2 years agoWhy is that bad? Because if one of those sites is out of something that was ordered by you, YOU are the one to take the hit and eventually the fall. eBay does not like sellers who cancel paid orders, upsetting paying buyers. Your feedback is not good at all and you blame the buyer for one, but it is clearly your fault. Your title says 28 + 28 but you told the buyer you can choose 28 or 24 count. What did you send?
galilee-store
OP2 years agoIn this situation i had 3 items in this listing and this buyer choose the cheapest that contain only 24 batteries and didn't pay for the 56 pack that was the most expansive, if he payed for the 56 i would sent him the right item.
But i understand what you saw dropshipping we need to be very careful not to upset buyers.

That is not what the title of that listing says. I looked at the listing, and it does have 3 variations, but that is not what the title says. Your title is misleading, and since you have not fixed it since you got negative feedback about it in the last 6 months, it appears that you are deliberately being misleading. eBay doesn't want that. If your customer misunderstood the listing, that is your problem. You should have made it clear.
Dropshipping is allowed, when it is done properly. "Dropshipping" from another retail website, like Amazon or Alibaba, is never allowed. eBay has asked you for receipts, but if you submit receipts from a retail website, they will only prove that you are dropshipping against eBay policy.
You appear to be very fluent in English, but you are trying to split hairs and make subtle semantic or logical arguments to justify what you have done. eBay doesn't care about your logical interpretation of their policy. The only interpretation of eBay's policy that matters is eBay's interpretation.

OP2 years agoI understand thank you, I will try settle this with ebay. Some information i didn't know before and wasn't obvious to a seller and I'm selling for a year now. I understood that i can't dropship from amazon because i cant buy the items before i list them, in alibaba i can. The idea not to ship to my place and then to my customers but better to ship directly to customers but need to be done in a safe way. If i continue to sell on ebay i need to change my strategy.
lacemaker3
·2 years agoNo, I'm sorry, but you don't understand.
You're still trying to outsmart eBay. If you think that you can prove to eBay that your Alibaba purchases were made before the eBay sales, good luck. I don't think eBay cares that much about the timing. The eBay policy says:
"... purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay."
eBay buyers don't want to receive items from Amazon even, let alone from Alibaba.
galilee-store
OP2 years agoWhy you assume I'm trying to outsmart eBay, Drop shipping is allowed on eBay and this what ebay policy says:
Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay. Remember that if you use drop shipping, you’re still responsible for the safe delivery of the item within the time frame stated in your listing and for the buyer’s overall satisfaction with their purchase.
However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay.
You like to assume I'm not an honest man and throw at me everything you got, Well if i continue selling i will improve and respect ebay platform, I saw a lot of people online doing dropshipping from amazon i done it in only few sales. My orders 921 in less than a year dropshipping from amazon maybe less than 15 orders. I understand now why i cant use all dropshipping methods because if someone ordered and then the product was out of stock on amazon then i will have to cancel the orders and that will hurt buyer experiences. If i already bought the products and they are mine ready to ship to my customers is a different case, It is a very safe way. Think about it why does it matter to ebay where i store my items they are already mine and I'm selling them, all the orders got delivered and not trying to cheat anyone.
another important point is also to do dropshipping from amazon you have to sell more expensive than amazon and hard to sell also customers will pay more but alibaba you can talk to the manufacture or dealer and have a price on a big amount to sell and for a reasonable price.
I really learn that myself and it wasn't obvious to me at first, I thought from amazon faster shipping but item will be expansive so i can't list more... and if i had knew before it was against policy and so important like that i would never sell something from amazon. some things i learned in the last 24 hours and didn't know before Hope i will settle this issue soon and i will only learn and improve.

·2 years agoThis listing has now been removed by eBay. Double-checking in a cached page, the title, item specifics and description all said 56 batteries total, with no mention of any other variations available.
I don't see any active listings anymore, so I guess the other listings were ended by eBay.
What a shame to see this happening, and the seller won't accept what the problem is, let alone any help.

·2 years agoYour title states . Your picture shows ct.
That is so misleading.
Take out the amounts on both the title and pictures.
galilee-store
OP2 years agoWell i don't know why still talking about this feedback that not relevant to the title, many bought and didn't have an issue because in the listing you can choose cheaper option and not just 56 batteries but yes i saw it may confuse some people but my product is out of stock and may remove the listing so there is no point to edit and fix the listing now.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoYou may remove the listing?
If it's out of stock what are you going to do if someone buys it?
galilee-store
OP2 years agoI cant remove the listing because the account is restricted now, I really can't understand the system because if i cant handle the shipment now i can't do anything, I can't edit or remove the listing now and may have an order as my account still restricted. most of my listing got removed only some still active and i cant do anything to change it, i had an order today even im restricted now and i handle it like normal but i cant edit/remove any listing or add any.
Don't know why your interested on this listing, But the 56 pack is out of stock and it will be written in red for you and you can't buy this item or add it to your cart. I tried to remove the listing because I'm not interested to sell this product but i can't i had to wait for the restriction to end and for ebay to respond to me, I have sent them the bills like they asked and I'm waiting.

@galilee-store
All you can do is comply with their request and upload your invoices. Being in Israel, are you under the BBE mandates? If so, that may be part of your problem as well. Drop shipping from a China wholesaler is never a good business practice, and often will result in the early demise of your selling privileges.

OP2 years agoAll my orders was with tracking number uploaded and got delivered in the end, I very few returns but the issues got fixed and customers got refunded. I can still improve
stamplock
·2 years agoI'm a stamp seller on ebay for 20 years.
I received the same notification from ebay and my selling privileges are temporarily restricted.
Most of the stamps sell are come from my collection, no any documents or invoice to be used.
I don't know how to cancel this restriction.
Hope I get any tips to cancel this restriction.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoYou can't cancel it.
You need to provide the information Ebay is asking for.
stamplock
·2 years agoIn the eBay-email to me, Nothing are asking me to prove, Please see the eBay-email:
Dear stamplock,
We restricted your account because we noticed activity that we believe is a risk to our community.
Restriction reason: High risk selling. This restriction means the following: - Your selling privileges are restricted. You won?t be able to create new listings or revise any listings that are live on our site. - Your payouts have been placed on hold.
The safety of our community is a top priority for us. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

So What I need to do?

Given the complaints from your customers and your less than positive feedback, I don't think there isn't much you can do. Your buyers are complaining of non receipt which can be the kiss of death on eBay. eBay wants happy customers. Apparently many of yours were not. Sorry.
Best of luck in the future
stamplock
·2 years agoThe non-receipt item only happen 1-3 buyers per year during the Covid-time. I don't think this the reason.
My Seller level is evaluated as Top-Rated to-day.
Now, I want to know What is "High risk selling"? (ebay said this is the reason).
ckimodog
·2 years ago@stamplock
You should really open your own thread instead of piggy backing on this one. 1-3 buyers not receiving their items is considered very bad and from what I see you have 12 bad comments in the last year alone. That was way past the covid pandemic, which was in 2020. My only suggestion is to contact customer service per this link:

These agents are US CS eBay employees and may better serve you and your situation. Many positive posts with their ability to be helpful. In the past they were helpful concerning my issue at hand. Contact them today and see what they can advise.
Good luck to you!

OP2 years agoI do dropshipping from alibaba maybe couple of times on amazon, Why is that so bad ?
All my orders with tracking number uploaded and got delivered in the end
brightlightbookseller
·2 years agoAre you purchasing your goods from a wholesaler and setting up a dropshipping agreement with them, or are you waiting until you make a sale and then buying the item? The second is absolutely not allowed, while the first is risky because you don't have much control over the order and shipping at all, and it's easy to end up with many late or not delivered orders, or just items not as described because you didn't have them in your hands before listing them.
Although Alibaba is a wholesale company you must be able to provide eBay with the wholesale supplier contract between you and Alibaba. Amazon is not a wholesale supplier so there is no contract.
eBay will require you to furnish receipts as proof of ownership of the items you sell.
galilee-store
OP2 years agoThank you i didn't know that, Won't ship from amazon anymore. Hope the account will return to me.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoBecause it's not allowed.
Did you read the dropshipping policy?
galilee-store
OP2 years agoI have checked now, Its allowed but limited.
tobaccocardyahoo
·2 years agoIt is not allowed if the product ships in packing material with the Amazon smile or any other retailer's markings.
You do not get any special treatment because you are new, you get more scrutiny.

Because it's not allowed. Your violated an important policy. Other sites will shut you down as well.
