Feb 18: I sold a $1,300 video card on eBay. The buyer selected USPS Ground Advantage, but I upgraded to USPS Priority and shipped it on Feb 19. I purchased the shipping label through eBay, including signature confirmation and insurance.Feb 28: The buyer opened a "not received" case due to a delivery delay. I contacted USPS, and they confirmed that the delay was due to severe weather. I relayed this information to the buyer.March 3: The buyer said they no longer wanted the item and requested a refund.March 6 (6:10 AM): Tracking showed "Out for Delivery". The buyer contacted eBay for help.March 6: The item was delivered and signed for by the buyer. I have proof of delivery with their signature.March 11: eBay closed the case in favor of the buyer and issued a full refund ($1,309.15), stating:"We didnâ€™t receive valid tracking information with signature confirmation from you, which was required for this order."Despite having and providing proof of delivery with a signature, eBay still refunded the buyer and is recovering the funds from me.This seems completely unfairâ€”the buyer received the item and a full refund.
