eBay Open 2026 On The Road
Well, so much for everyone hoping last year's return to Las Vegas meant the eBay Opens of old were back for good. Looks like they've significantly stripped back Open this year with 4 smaller "limited spot" in person roadshow events and most disappointingly, no live virtual access....just a recorded replay for the Winter Seller Check In. 😞

- Chicago, IL – June 25
- Dallas, TX – September
- South Florida – October
eBay Open: On the Road is intimate, practical, and designed to help you grow—today and into the future. Spots will be limited at each location.

·2 months agoI'm trying to get a ticket for the San Diego event on Friday but it's showing as unavailable on the site -- does anyone know if it's sold out or where else I can get a ticket?

Call me literate, but I think that
if eBay's website says tickets are now unavailable
then the event is probably sold out.

·2 months agoWhen will more details (ex. City location, event dates, etc.) be released about the South Florida eBay 2026 Open On The event ?

·2 months ago@geogould0 Probably a month or two before the event itself. Keep watching for an Announcement here: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Announcements/bg-p/Announcements

·2 months ago@geogould0 Florida will be in October, but we don't yet have other details

·2 months agoThey may be holding off on the agenda for later events until they've gotten some experience and feedback for the earlier ones. Chicago is June 25th.

·4 months agoSignificantly stripped back, probably due to cut backs on expenses like every company & corporation are doing, It's good that it is spread across the country so maybe more can attend that are closer to the specific region that one is held at.

OP4 months agoUnsurprisingly, it looks like the agenda is going to be heavy on AI and Live.
Tickets are $25, registration is currently open for the San Diego event:

·4 months ago@valueaddedresource Well, the price isn't unreasonable, but nothing is close enough to me to warrant a trip. Especially since the agenda doesn't sound all that exciting. Although, you gotta love the corporate speak: "Engagement activations" ?(I had to look it up...and I'm still not sure if it means the same thing to ebay that it means to Google)
And I'm guessing there won't be too much that is really time sensitive, since it appears some people will hear about all of this in May, and those who don't attend will have to wait till October for the replays. Looks like it will be: Ads, AI, and Lives.

OP4 months ago@my-cottage-books-and-antiques I had to laugh at them finally going to South Florida after I moved from there to North Florida. 😂
It's a long drive to get back down that way now but might still be worth it. 😉

·4 months ago@valueaddedresource Well, if you are going to go, I'd be willing to chip in some gas money for your trip...although, by October who knows what a gallon will cost....
If all 4 are basically the same agenda, I'm guessing "influencers" will have provided summaries by October....I suppose ebay could try to require NDAs but I don't think even ebay would try that....

·4 months agoI've never been to an eBay event requiring NDAs. I would say those are more commonly used for one-on-one interviews, focus groups and similar, especially when payment for participating is involved. (That is, when they pay you to attend and give your feedback.)
@valueaddedresource, given that you have a website dedicated to coverage of this kind of business, I would think your travel expenses should be tax-deductible.

OP4 months ago@a_c_green expenses yes....time though? It's a big state and depending on where in South Florida it ends up being (I'm guessing probably somewhere between West Palm and Miami) it's about 8-10 hrs of driving time each way which basically means 2 full days of driving for a 6 hour event.
Considering it's theoretically going to be the same info at all events from May through October, I don't imagine there will be anything particularly new, time sensitive, or groundbreaking and even if there is we'll likely hear about it online from those who attend the earlier events long before they get to Florida.
There could still be some benefit to being in person, which is why I'm not completely ruling it out but we'll see...right now I'm having a hard time getting too excited about it.
a_c_green
·4 months agoLikewise... but given that there will be a Chicago date, I might splurge the $25 for that. I've been to several past ones, of varying levels of usefulness.
...which reminds me, I really need to find something to do with all these eBay swag bags of the past...

·4 months agoThe value in these events is in the networking opportunities. Unfortunately, I can’t see us flying into any of these cities for a 6 hour event. This is a big disappointment.
my-cottage-books-and-antiques
·4 months ago@wilsonharborsales I'd consider going if I lived nearby...really nearby. But I admit, I'm not willing to travel any great distance for something like this. I'm guessing ebay doesn't really want a big event. I wouldn't be surprised if ebay is hoping to use this as an opportunity to find some good Live streaming prospects among the attendees. In fact, if I was really interested in doing ebay Lives, I might consider going even with the travel.
