Ebay now HATES it sellers - and I HATE EBAY in return
Ebay has gone to HELL in the last 10 years. You cannot speak with an agent, unless it be a moron in India. All of the AI-driven messages are just false made-up crap! I reported a problem with listing items, and it took OVER A YEAR to get it fixed.
Ebay now HATES it sellers - and I HATE EBAY in return -- after 26 years of buying and selling.

Thank you for understanding.

·6 months agoI agree 1000 percent. As a seller there is no recourse if a buyer lies about your product. I learned the hard way. Will not buy or sell on Ebay anymore.

·1 year agoI honestly don't understand what all these sellers are calling ebay on the phone about all the time. The only problem I ever had that a customer service agent could fix that a google search couldn't was the time I accidentally put bold title on a huge number of listings at once in the bulk editor. I am pretty sure even that got solved completely though chat.
I have had ebay call me a few times out of the blue, twice about promoted listings and once because they wanted me to review one of their shipping products on my youtube channel.

Will you be back here to elaborate?

I wonder if folks on Microsoft forums say things like: "The Jamie Ianone of Microsoft Chimes in again with his wisdom. Oh great Ianone of Microsoft, thank you for imparting such wisdom."

·1 year agoThere are multiple ways to contact Ebay. If you don't like one way, try another. It sounds more like you got very frustrated about something and have over reacted to whatever it was or you misunderstand something.
If you want to share what the issue is that you are having here, it is highly likely that we can help you.
************************************************************************
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/ebay
https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

·1 year agoI can see ebay made you mad and therefore you hate "them".............but why does ebay hate its sellers?

·1 year agoIt is awful to see this level of angst from an established user. Sorry for your trouble. Did you stop listing altogether a year ago? What happened?

·1 year agoSomehow you have found your way to the Selling forum in the eBay Community.
THIS is the best place to get answers and possible solutions to your eBay buying, selling and/or listing problems.
Most of what I know about eBay I learned through days and days, weeks and weeks and more of reading through these forums.
If you want to tell us specific details of what happened to you, we may be able to help or at least try to explain.

@inhawaii
Sometimes I wish you weren't so grumpy and snarky either and I don't even sell here anymore. Like you anyway as "other" opinions are valuable as well for the most part. Certainly more to the point that call back or chat eBay CS. LOL.

It wasn't.

·1 year agoYou are absolutely correct, it was made in post #11 on this thread by @ni_6183 . Their exact statement was "And I wish I wasn't you where I cant even tell the difference between patience and patients. "

·1 year agoI'm sorry, I must have missed the post where YOU chimed in with some wisdom or helpful advice for the op.
As far as calling me "Bill Gates". I'm not sure what that means. I take it that's a insult of some kind.
Does anyone else know?

·1 year agoI can't even begin to comprehend what that phrase means, except to assume it was an attempt to insult inhawaii? If so, it both failed miserably and isn't what we want to see on these boards.

·1 year agoWhat a great idea. I'm going to adopt this tactic next time. Make my target so confused that it'll eat at his insides and live in his brain rent free. Losing sleep and wondering constantly, shortening his over life span. He's even got others in here wondering too. Bravo. The OP is obviously going for the slow long kill.
You all fell for the trap, all you Keanu Reeveses of ebay!

OP1 year agoThat problem began in August 2023. I called, and ACTUALLY got a USA PERSON, and reported that problem. He said, "yes, we know about it".
The problem was - that after listing any item, I could not go back and view it for editing FOR 5 MINUTES! When I tried, it said in BIG RED LETTERS "CANNOT FIND THIS ANYWHERE"!
This problem continued for over ONE YEAR! Then it was was FINALLY resolved. Talk about EBAY SUPPORT"!

A new listing can take up to 24 hours to be active in the search on the site.
A seller can see a brand new listing they created within seconds in their Seller Hub under Active Listings and you CAN revise them as needed.

Are you saying that the problem with your individual listing continued for over one year?
A simple solution might have been to just create a new listing from scratch.

I've never encountered problems listing in the past 20+ years except when my computer was at fault.
