I'm not sure if this is new or just new to me. I made an offer that was auto declined. The next day I received a notification from ebay (not the seller) that suggested that I make an offer of at least $59.99.
That got me to thinking, since ebay sent this and not the seller, is ebay telling me that's the minimum amount the seller will accept?
So I did a little test. I made an offer of $59 and it was once again auto declined. Then I made an offer for the suggested $59.99 price and it was auto accepted.
Have any of you seen this before? Is ebay basically telling buyers now what your minimum offer price is?

OP2 weeks agoI suppose. I just didn't know that they were telling buyers the lowest price. I'll adjust how I set up any offers going forward.

·2 weeks agoWhy would you? If your minimum accepted price on an item is $50, you would change to $75 because eBay showed $50?

OP2 weeks agoNo, I'll just not set an automatic lowest price. Because I don't want ebay telling buyers the least amount I'll take. Because then they'll never offer anything except the absolute lowest price.

I'm genuinely curious about this because if they are basically telling buyers what the lowest offer amount you'll take is, I think sellers setting auto limits should be aware.

I get those same messages all the time. If I can't offer that price then I try to work something out with the seller via messages.
