Ebay Not Allowing My Offer Amounts to Buyers
Question: If I have watchers on an item and I send a watcher a "small offer" ($1 - $2) why will Ebay accept that offer and allow me to send it on some items but on other items it gives me the lowest offer amount I can send? (Does it have to do with category, listing price, ??). Thanks.

·9 months agoA 'whole' dollar?? Although offers are 'required' to be AT LEAST 5%; anything less than 10% is an insult to buyers.

·9 months ago$1 of $20 is 5% off, and that's OK since 5% is the minimum discount you can send as an offer.
$1 off $40 would be 2.5%, and that's not OK since it's 2.5%, which is less than 5%.
Hopefully that clears this up for you!

·9 months agoWhen you submit the offer and the system doesn't allow it the reason is right there in red. As another person said 5% or more on special offers. Side note just to let you know when you say "small offer" nobody is interested in $1 off an item worth $20+. If the item is a $10 item maybe.

·9 months agoOffers need to be at least 5% below the listed price. The system will not accept anything lower than that.
