    Ebay needs to dump AI

Ever since Ebay started using AI my views have gone in the toilet.25 to 30 items listed and maybe 3 will have views and very very few watchers.Sales are not just in the toilet ,they made all the way to the filtration plant.

Ebay has been using AI for a long time.  It is not a passing fad, it is the future direction of computer technology.  It is something we all have to learn to work with.

But how is AI affecting your watchers or sales?  What is it that AI is doing to hinder these things?  Maybe if you could give more details or better clarify this, we could better assist you.

It's not AI. Everything is not AI.

This site has barely limped through canned AI descriptions (easily done with no AI and just boilerplates), and is having struggles with the simplest of imaging ID.

The replies you leave to negative feedback probably isn't helping any.

To the OP - your problem isn't AI or anything to do with eBay. I looked at your listings. You have 27 items listed. It is very hard to get routine sales with only 27 items, unless you have items that have limited availability and high demand. None of your items meet that threshold.

I agree with @jonathanbrightlight . It would be more concerning to me if I had a ton of views but no sales.

One of your issues is that you are running auctions on many of your items. Auctions are not going to get those items sold. Their value is known, they are not rare, and they are not in demand. Those all need to be set to Buy It Now. If they sale at auction, you are leaving money on the table.

Some of your titles are short. You get 80 characters. Use them. You need to drop words like "Nice" from your title. Buyers - at least the ones you want - do not search the word "nice." That is subjective. Let the buyer decide whether something is nice. Also, drop the word "rare" from your titles, unless the item is actually rare. If an item has a half-dozen other listings on this platform, the item is not rare. Also, buyers do not search the word "rare."

I disagree with @itsjustasprain . Some of your pictures are not clear. Look at your Merrell shoes. That main picture needed to be clearer. It is fuzzy when I blow it up. I also think it would look better if you could retake it against a plain lighter background. Those are nice shoes but they get lost in the dark background. This is where you may actually want to use the AI feature on the photo app and have it make a nice background for you that isn't distracting. Plain white or a light gray would be fine. Even a light wood tone. It may be easier to reshoot the picture though. Size 8 men's are slow sellers, but someone will eventually grab them. If they are still around in a month, up the price slightly so you get a little more when they move in Q4.

The other issue you may be battling with are those two negatives.  Not only do both of those feedbacks suggest you sell damaged/defective items, your response to the feedback does more damage. You call one buyer "nuts." You blame both buyers and eBay. A total lack of responsibility on your part. That will scare a lot of buyers away from you.

When responding to negative feedback, it's best to maintain a professional tone. Avoid using derogatory language or personal attacks, such as calling buyers 'nuts' or labeling feedback as 'stupid.' Instead, focus on addressing the issue and providing a solution. This approach not only helps to resolve the problem but also showcases your professionalism to potential future buyers, not sure if AI is looking at that but humans will.

Har! Good one! I have to remember that line...

I looked at a few of your listings at random and they look fine to me. Plenty of use of Item Specifics, clear photos, no reliance on stupid AI descriptions.

Where I think you might be getting a bit misled when looking at your statistics is that people can see your listings (title and photo anyway) in their search results without having to actually open the listing. Therefore you might see only 3 'views' from people who opened the listing but it should still be turning up in search results for plenty of others.

We are still in the dog days of August with Labor Day coming up so I think everything is in a bit of a slump right now.

I would actually be far more concerned if I was getting a bunch of views on an item but it wasn’t selling than if I wasn’t getting views.
