Ebay needs a New report area for Buyers
Ebay needs to offer a different reporting area for buyers who harass and bully sellers. I have said this for years. I realize this only happens a few times a year but it truly needs to have an area for this. Other sellers should get to know if a buyer is not ethical. We as sellers cannot leave negative feedback and nothing is done anymore about reporting this. It is hard enough to sell today without all the issues from bad buyers. Just my Honest opinion.

·7 months agoBuyers don’t even need to register to make a purchase, they can check out as guests. How would such a list even work?

·7 months agoIf you're talking about the neg you got............. sold on Thurs. 2/5........... the listing shows 1 day handling...... so should have been mailed on Fri.........
Just for info.......I checked a couple of other listings and they all show 1 day handling.

OP7 months agoThen BULK edit is wrong because I changed it last Fall to 3 day handling for everything. You have not read the emails or know what we have endured. So thanks for you comment. But, No its not this.

·7 months agoBulk edit will only change the listings that are currently allowed to be edited. I went to change my handling a few weeks ago because of the winter storm that came through, but there were some listings that I had sent offers out on, and those couldn't be changed.
So there might be a few of yours that didn't get changed when you updated last Fall.

·7 months agoThe problem is that is a very subjective determination. I can remember many threads on here where a seller felt the buyer was harassing or bullying them, yet when the details were actually revealed, it turns out the seller was in the wrong, or both were in the wrong. I would never trust a random seller's assessment of whether a buyer was harassing them, just like I wouldn't trust a buyer's assessment of a seller.
Not to mention that publicly shaming buyers is not a good policy. It sometimes works for little retail stores or gas stations to publicly shame thieves caught on camera, but it can backfire even then. Something large scale like this would be disastrous.

·7 months agoIt is a problem that should be addressed, However the sheer magnitude of buyers would not be feasible to have such a report, It would exceed the amount of time that a seller has to go through such an enormous list.

but I feel like you are running the risk of "innocent" people getting lambasted.
I think there is already a place to report a buyer.

·7 months agoeBay has about 134 Million buyers. Such a list would probably have hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of names on it. No seller is going to check such a list to see if their new buyer's name is on it. And even if it were, now what? If you sold an item and checked such a list and saw your new buyer's name on it, are you going to cancel their sale because apparently they had a run-in with another seller but you don't even know the details of what went on? It could be that the other seller, not the buyer, was the bully and harasser and instigated the whole thing.
Unfortunately, I think there are probably as many bully sellers as there are bully buyers.
