·4 months agoeBay stole all the money from a recent sale I made and put a negative on my account that pushed it to as almost $90 which basically deleted my sale AND added a bunch of charges for items I haven’t even sold yet and a label they say imprinted that I didn’t
when I try to contact someone they say their phone hours are closed or they don’t call me back despite my bring told they’d call in 30 minutes. I’ve spoken to someone and apparently there is a huge class action suit being filed against them for charging erroneous fees to consumers. I am a good seller and sell genuine products. This is beyond awful. I have been given no way to recoup my money they stole without my permission or knowledge. No email no anything about it either

·4 months agoIt doesn't matter if you were gone or not, You have to pay for your store subscription unless you close your store, If it were a brick & mortar you would owe the landlord, Same goes here.

I just edited this because I didn't see that someone else stepped in and posted on the original poster's thread.
When you got notice of the claim being filed, did you respond to it? If so, you would have had to send a label for the buyer to return the item and then when you received it back, you would have had to refund the buyer. If you did not respond to the claim and eBay had to step in, they would have forced a refund (by debiting your bank account) and if they had to do that, they would not have required the buyer to return the item.
You are calling the buyer a scammer but if he received a damaged item, that does not make him a scammer. It looks to me like your bank account was debited because you did not follow proper procedures for handling a return.

·4 months agoDid you arrange to provide the buyer with a prepaid label to return the damaged item to you in Pakistan?
If not, you were not entitled to have the damaged item returned, and Ebay would debit your bank account for the full amount of the order, not refunding their fees.

Are you the OP posting with a different ID?
If the buyer opened a return claim and you didn't respond, the buyer may have asked ebay to step in, in which case ebay would issue the refund and not require the buyer to return it.
So please clarify exactly what happened.

·4 months agoI would be pretty upset too, if eBay took money from my bank account. I have a charge card on file for the times when I owe fees, etc.
luckythewinner
·4 months agoI would too. But in all my time on eBay - 28 years - eBay has never taken any money that they were not entitled to.

Why did eBay take the money from your account?
Why do you think you are owed a reimbursement?

Did one of the 2 buyers return an item? If so, they would have taken the money from your account because as a new and/or infrequent seller, your funds are subject to holds and as such, aren't available for refunds.
But once the holds end, the held funds will be released.

·4 months agoEBAY can take money from your account (if you owe selling fees, pay for returned item, postage owed). EBAY usually sends you a notice explaining reason money was deducted from your bank account.

·4 months ago@cardhousecollectables You'll need to be more specific about what happened. You should have a message that details why they withdrew money from your account. What does it say?
eBay took money from my bank account to pay for my store subscription when I was gone for months and not selling, and thus had no funds.
