eBay just automatically changed all of my listings to show the "country of origin" as China

I have seen the new "country of origin" box when recently creating new listings.
eBay has now filled this in as "China" on all of my listings.
I sell used OEM Honda & Toyota parts, mostly from the 70s & 80s.
These parts were mostly made in Japan 40yrs ago, some were made in the USA, some have aftermarket replacement parts made in China, but have been in the USA for 40yrs+.
This morning I had a potential buyer asking about one of listings eBay had changed, thinking I was mis-representing Chinese-made aftermarket parts as used OEM.
I used the bulk listing tool to revise my 500 items, but the tool was cumbersome and I am now in the process of checking each listing individually.
I understand this is due to a new policy regarding Reciprocal Tariffs, but how much money will the Chinese be making of the new automatic eBay changes making the default county of origin China?
I can see this would work on new parts, as most everything new is made in China, but not so good for sellers of used OEM parts.

·7 months agoI just discovered this by accident a moment ago.
You can select some/all your listings from the listing view in Hub, click Edit -this goes to your bulk edit page, and right at the top is a new box stating exactly how many of your listings have no COO at all, and how many have been filled by eBay. If you check either box, the screen below populates with exactly the listings that pertain to that selection.
You can do what you want from there, but at least you don't have to open up each listing individually to see that item specific.

So glad you caught this.
We were having this discussion the other day and now see that this new Country of Origin field can cause confusion among buyers.

OP7 months agoApparently not all of my listings were changed to show COO as China.
eBay just guessed.
I have parts listed from a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta. eBay changed all of these listings to show COO as Germany.
Good guess, but car and most of its parts were made in Mexico, the parts are stamped or labelled made in Mexico, and part numbers show this.
Am I responsible for any customs issues? I did not make or authorize these changes.
