eBay inserting "FIVEOFF" coupon codes into my listings without consent
I sell products with have a Manufacturer's Advertising Policy and I am not allowed to offer public coupons. I do not have any public coupons active. Yet several of my listings are promoting a "FIVEOFF" coupon code.
How can I prevent eBay from inserting this coupon code without my permission?

·1 week agoIf Ebay set up that coupon, it would be Ebay that is also funding it. Meaning the 5% would be to you by Ebay and Ebay extends the credit to the buyer. Have you verified that you are actually getting paid 5% less on these transactions?
If you are being paid less, Ebay doesn't do that without permission of some sort from the seller. Ebay does NOT set pricing. If this is really what is happening, it not only is extremely unusual, it is a bigger issue than you are describing.
First you should really verify that you are paying this 5% via a discount on the sales price of the item coming out of your pocket. If that is true, you should get in contact with Ebay and find out what is going one and how it happened.
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
Things have changed in recent months and Ebay is not offering customer service on any site other than Ebay and Instagram right now.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

·1 week agoFor this reason, your products MAP probably states to NOT sell on 3rd Party Sites- as you CANNOT control how they decide to 'reward' buyers on THEIR site.

OP1 week agoNo, not all of them forbid third party marketplaces. This has never been an issue until the last couple of weeks.

·1 week agoI don't see any coupons with the few I clicked. There is an 'auto parts' coupon that you had to opt INTO; did you? Are the coupons still there?
'Not All of Them' forbid- so that means SOME of them do.

OP1 week agoThe coupon is definitely still being inserted into random listings. I have not opted into anything.

OP1 week agoThanks. That sucks. It creates a violation with the MAP because now the listing publicly advertises a lower price than MSRP. The only thing I've been able to do is take the listings down and repost them, but now they put the coupon code back in again.

OP1 week agoIt's 5% off and unfortunately that would put me 5% higher than other sellers selling the same product at MSRP and eBay isn't inserting the coupon into their listings.

Reason I ask is one time I tried going with the ridiculous recommended amount of promoting and turned out that's what triggered me getting coupons put on the listing. Someone told me that was why it was there and when I took the promotion off, the coupon went away also.
