Ebay has changed over 900 listings of mine to the country of orgin being China. They are mfg in USA!
I have several train mfg that are still being produced in the USA- since the 40's. Ebay in all their wisdom marked them all as being made in China. How do I rectify this?

·6 months agoIt has to due with reciprocal tariffs. eBay took the liberty of changing all sellers listings country of origin of China so they would not see a huge drop in international sales. This just happened in the lase couple days.
I sell used car parts, mostly Honda and Toyota parts from 70's & 80's.
For example: I have used Toyota distributor, made in Japan 40yrs ago, it has a newer cap & rotor probably made in China and has been in the US for 40yrs. eBay just changed to country of origin to China. This morning I had a potential buyer contact me about the change, wondering if I was mis-representing used OEM parts for Chinese made aftermarket parts.
I tried the bulk listing tool, but it was cumbersome to make the change and went into each listing manually to verify.

·6 months agoWhen ever I discover an error in my listings, I never assume it was ebay.
I always assume that I made the error and I fix it.
Just curious what makes you think that ebay did this ... and why would they?

·6 months agoHe's assuming this because ebay is actually doing this. The OP is seeing the fallout from the new inclusion of a field asking sellers to include country of origin, and then "fixing" it themselves en masse.

·6 months agoThe only item specific I see would be "Country of Origin" and not "made in"
Whenever I list something I specifically make sure that I fill in this Country of Origin specific, so that ebay doesn't do it for me (whether when listing or later).
Also I've perused a few of your listings and I see some have Country of Origin filled out (as United States by the way) and some do not have this item specific at all, however I found none that had it as China so unless you've been manually editing busily since this happened?
* Always fill in all item specifics when listing.

·6 months agoI know you aren't replying to me but I didn't see the selection for origin in the bulk editing window, just when it pops up in blue at the top of the page in the little circle when doing a "sell similar". And that happens if it is not filled in OR if ebay has filled it in for you.
You still have to go in one by one from what I have experienced.

But, the category point is moot. It is happening in vintage jewelry and fashion jewelry as well.
