Ebay final value fee.
I just had a buyer cancel an order which is 100% fine. So I refunded then and re-listed the item. But Ebay still
charged me an $8 final value fee? The sale didn't happen so why am I being charged?

·3 weeks agoYour selling fee were credited. If you look at payment summary that you posted. On the 3rd line it says FEE CREDITS -$8.20. EBAY deducted you selling fees from the Total Refund (otherwise you would have refunded $116.35).

·3 weeks agoyou pay 108.15 of the refund which should total 116.35
Ebay pays 8.20 which is the FVF.......

OP3 weeks agoSo the $8.20 is what will be the final value after the purchase?

minus -$8.20 (EBAY refund "final value fee" to you)
$108.15 (amount deducted from your account)
You must refund customer $116.35 (full amount they paid) because transaction was cancelled. EBAY credited you for $8.20 final value fees so that amount is deducted from $116.35 and you only owe $108.15
You do NOT pay $8.20 "final value fee" because EBAY credited that amount because transaction was cancelled.
