eBay email I received
What does this mean for me , the seller?
“This item has not been sold. Do not ship to this user. For your safety, keep your conversation on eBay, and don’t share any personal info.â€

It is blatantly obvious when an item is still available for sale. The rectangle to enter a dollar amount to place a bid and the Buy-It-Now button appear.
If someone sends a message inquiring if an item is still for sale, there is a 99% chance they are a scammer and 1% chance they are clueless. They will want you to text or email them to take the communication off of eBay. Then send you a fake payment notice from Paypal.

That message said more than that. It told you the transaction they were concerned with. The message means exactly what it says it means. You have a transaction that is of safety concern to Ebay. If you have NOT shipped the item yet. Don't and then just cancel the transaction and refund the buyer.
If you have already shipped the item. It is highly likely you will be just fine. I have had many of these types of emails over the year. I think all but 1 came well after I shipped the item. So I just left things alone and did nothing regarding this email from Ebay. And ALL, absolutely ALL of those transactions were just fine. The buyer never filed a claim in Ebay or a chargeback. It was all just fine.
And that is highly likely the outcome you will experience as well.
I know this email is a bit unnerving. I absolutely respect that. Just carry on with your little business and don't give this another thought. I wish you the best and happy sales !!!!
Oh a little bonus here is that even if you don't cancel the transaction, Ebay refunds your final value fees [FVFs] anyway.
