eBay Does Nothing to Protect Sellers From Malicious Buyers' Feedback
A few days ago, for the second time recently, buyers have left malicious feedback after I immediately refunded their money and sent them a return label as soon as I saw the requests. One of them even refused to return the item, but left negative feedback anyway. Their feedback had nothing to do with the transactions themselves, but with what they obviously "perceived" to be a "bad attitude" and "rudeness" on my part. Both of the remarks were what I would describe as incoherent “rantsâ€. Unfortunately, written words don't always convey actual attitude and my specific questions (after the refunds) about how the items arrived and their conditions must have ticked them off, most likely because they thought I was attacking their credibility, which was not my intent. I asked both, very politely, to remove the feedback, but both refused. eBay's view of buyer feedback is that it's about the buyer's "overall experience", not about the ease of the transaction. This is EXTREMELY UNFAIR to sellers, especially when feedback can't be left for buyers. Yes, I can counter the feedback on my own page but I'm still left with a tarnished 100% feedback rating for a full year. I'm a small seller with a red star, but as soon as I sell off a few more items, I'm ditching eBay for good. I'm sick of entitled 20-year-olds making decisions about correctness.

·2 years agoDon't let it get to you. Feedback like that makes the buyer look like a crazy person, which could very well be the case. Move on, sell more.
And do no reply to that feedback. Seller replies, more often than not, make the seller look defensive and that could cause potential buyers to avoid your items.
