eBay cancelled sale for security
Hi,
I had a buyer purchase three items from me within roughly a day’s time, and they paid for all three items. eBay cancelled two of their three purchases and booted the user. I had not shipped anything yet.
I chatted with an agent about this, asking if I should be refunding the purchases on my end, and I was told “ We will be handling it. There’s no action needed on your partâ€.
It’s been four days since eBay cancelled the sales and I chatted with the agent, but all three items still show up in my “Sold†tab as if nothing happened.
I’m not a very high volume seller, so I don’t routinely encounter things like this. Is this normal?

·2 years agoI'm intrigued they cancelled 2 of 3, not all 3. 🤔

·2 years agoThat makes sense as long as they are not sitting in your orders pending some action. Not sure if eBay refunded the buyer or where the funds are sitting but you may want to look at that. You may also want to look at the end of the year when you receive your 1099 to make sure eBay removed those dollars from the gross on your 1099.
All my orders end up in my sold view even after all the processing is done. Simply use sell similar to relist the item and then delete the sold entries if you wish.

·2 years agoeBay does keep a watch and remove users that break the rules. Were they high value items?
