eBay automated feedback
When viewing 'Manage paid and shipped orders' in Seller Hub, an icon or indicator for automated feedback would be helpful. Currently, it shows 'Buyer hasn't left feedback' even if automated feedback was applied. Or an alternative text 'eBay automated feedback applied (buyer hasn't left feedback yet'.
Maybe the business analysts missed that requirement.

Manual or automated?
At the time of payment?
At some point in time after payment has been received?
When the package is delivered or some time after that?
Only if the buyer leaves you feedback first?
Instead of using the 'Manage paid and shipped orders' screen, try using the 'Manage shipped orders awaiting your feedback' screen. There are fewer transactions displayed.

I leave feedback for buyers 10 days after payment.

·8 months agoIt doesn't really matter b/c if the buyer chooses to leave FB after the Automated FB was left, eBay will replace it w/the buyer's FB. For example, I recently purchased a few things, but I've been sick so FB was not a high priority. I'm sure eBay left it on my behalf. When I get around to leaving the FB for my sellers, my actual FB will replace the automated FB. So in other words, the buyer always has the opportunity to leave the FB (within the 90 days anyway).

OP8 months agoBut in Seller Hub, there's no indicator showing eBay's automated feedback was applied for buyers that haven't left their own. It'd just add transparency.

·8 months agoThat is true. I guess I don't see what difference it makes. IDK why they didn't choose to add one, but I also don't see how it would be helpful. It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other in that it doesn't change anything I do or don't do.

OP8 months agoThere are 2 indicators on the page, one says, "You left feedback for buyer", and the other says "Buyer hasn't' left feedback". There is nothing to show eBay left Automated feedback. Maybe it's me. I like to know.

·8 months agoYes. I agree on how the screen looks. I guess I just don't understand the point. If it's been >7 days since you sold it, the Auto FB has been left. I respect your right to want it, I just don't personally see what difference it would make. It would not affect me in any way. Either way. LOL.

·8 months agoOh, right. That. ...yeah I still don't get it. 😂 Nor do I need to but curiosity compels me to keep poking anyway. Feel free to ignore me/tell me to get bent. What would it clarify? Or, where is clarity currently lacking? Cases where it's applied are all cases that don't involve the buyer raising some issue with the transaction once a certain amount of time has passed if the buyer hasn't already left feedback themselves, no?
-Tracking whether that set time period is always consistent out of sheer morbid curiosity
-Same as above but ship stuff without tracking sometimes and wondering how the system handles those
-Something to do with the timing of when you leave feedback
-Something to do with having a different way to reference which orders had issues
One of those?
