Ebay Authentication left out part of the item

Hi,

I sold a pair of trainers (Jordan 1 Lost & Found) which as part of the packaging contains a little memento replica receipt. The buyer received the shoes today and informed me that the memento receipt was missing from the package. I know for sure I packaged the receipt up with the shoes and filmed myself doing so. I shared the video with the buyer and he said he'd try and pursue this with ebay since it seems the ebay authenticator has left it out. Shoes were sold under the authenticity guarentee and passed authentication.

Question is realistically will ebay compensate the buyer for the receipt and if not, am I going to have a case to answer if the buyer chooses to come after me?

logic says since it passed authentication, which should have checked for the receipt and sent it on to the buyer, but didn't............. Ebay should cover it... But logic doesn't always work.

You are in the UK.....so I would ask on that board, as they may handle things differently there. This is primarily a US seller board.
